Just let the dog out... there's no snow here! and I can see the moon through the clouds, not a good sign but hoping for tomorrow.
Also welcome to the group. We are friendly even when Sheffield gets all the snow and York none at all!
Light snow in Strensall. Just driven up from Kent this afternoon/evening and the deepest snow was at the top of Wroutham Hill on the M20. Absolutely nothing after that.
The Foss at Strensall was starting to ice over which hasn't happened for a few years. 2010 was the last time I can remember it being completely frozen though I was too chicken to test it. There was a swan near the railway bridge frantically trying to keep a patch clear of ice.
Also I have some nice photos of the snow yesterday but not sure if I'm allowed to post them. I will check. We had at least 7cm but it's hard to tell as the wind was drifting everything.
Two flakes in Strensall! I counted them both.
The Netweather forecast for snow for my work keeps getting put back day by day. I wonder if it will actually happen.
I can tell those maps have no chance of verifying as they have snow for the lower vale of York. Normally there would be a nice circle of clear around the city.
Very cold rain in York - was snowing huge flakes earlier but turned back to rain. Durham, where my son is, seems to be getting another pasting - I keep telling him that it's England's snowiest city.
Sorry for late reply but the pale blue area north of York is just ghosting. It's pretty much over my house and we've had nothing since 1100ish.
Having said that @vizzy2004 may have had some snow up on the ridge.
