  1. Looks it could linger over central southern parts until tomorrow. Make the most of it as the Atlantic breaks through on Friday. http://www.meteoradar.co.uk/forecastloop# Starting to rain / sleet in N Poole now but have a good a few cm covering everything.
  2. 3.9 now in the harbour and the beeb forecasting 4C overnight, perhaps there is nothing the matter with your equipment :-)
  3. Frost in Broadstone but Poole Harbour is showing 3.7 C with wind from SSE and rising http://www.pooleharbourweather.com/weather/
  4. Im in Broadstone and the Met Office are predicting heavy snow between 9am and 3 pm
  5. I rarely post and only visit each winter. I have a genuine interest in the weather and the Model forum has been a great source of interest for me over many years. It appears to me that this forum has been a victim of its own success. Long before I even joined I would marvel at the knowledge of some of the posters on here but back then there was a general acceptance that nothing was set in stone. Just a few years back the Model discussion thread wasn't somewhere where people would tread lightly. What went wrong? Obviously its great for the forum that people are joining but the problem with social media is that nowadays it doesn't take much for someone to be 'an expert' and Im afraid the forum has become swamped with so called experts creating mass hysteria. I really appreciate the efforts of the mods in trying to keep things on the straight and narrow but its now getting bloody hard work just to read this thread . Fortunately I know the posters to look out for, so scan the pages but a newcomer would be forgiven for thinking this place was an hysterical mess.
  6. Settling in North Poole on the roads and pavements, not heavy but quite persistent and looks like may last for an hour or so on the radar. Should make for a scenic dog walk tomorrow. Nice to see a bit but after last years chaos and a rear wheel drive car I will be happy with a small amount.
  7. yep snowing in Poole very rarely get snow from the North so I guess its unusual (its unusual for snow in Poole full stop) but really dont expect anything more than a dusting.
  8. Ferndown has a light layer according to brother in law....a few flakes showing up here in Broadstone now
  9. keep us southerners posted only Gravel Hill and merley between us (2 miles) sleet now
