If looking for a decent snow event in these synoptic situations you need a squeezy bum run, although I appreciate there is more risk!

Whilst it's nothing major in terms of deep, long lasting cold it's impressive how GFS picked this northerly plunge up sometime ago and it does looks like verifying.

I saw that Marcus for the SA3 postcode. There was a brief period yesterday when the forecasted speeds where around the high 60s, but over 90 is not something I'm looking forward to especially as we are close to the sea with no real shelter.

Remember before the models started churning out the more festive, snowier charts before Christmas, they were indicating a long anticyclonic period.

Snow is setting down here in Caswell which is a surprise.

It is very patchy: here in Mumbles there is barely 0.5cm whilst in Reynoldston there is a couple of inches.
