  1. In SE London about 2 millimetres in a few spots. Drivel really.
  2. 3 mm in bexleyheath - and that's where it settled. Which is not much of the road or pavement. Very poor even with minimal expectation of 1 cm. is that it?
  3. Nothing settling in Se london. When people say cm I often think they mean mm when the pics arrive.
  4. Looking across London on webcams and SE London = non existent. East very poor. West poor. NW ok but none on roads or much paving
  5. Very little anywhere on web cams within the M25 - even in Kent
  6. Nothing settled from the last 10 mins mild shower. Others that had some snow now melted in NW Kent and SE London. Got to laugh.
  7. Latest big shower blob on radar looks like tit will barely get within M25. No real change of direction seen if winds are moving to east
  8. He has a point. Two days ago a perfectly reasonable poster tried to hold people's expectations in check for the forthcoming 48 hours (so up to now) and was hounded. He was simply saying its not 100% guaranteed across London and the home counties. He was right but those who hounded him offer no apology now I've noticed reading through the thread.
  9. Very slight change in direction of showers but still will barely enter London at all on current trajectory if they don't break down (which has also been happening)
  10. Another 24 hours until wind changes to more easterly? Much the same as said yesterday for today. Snow not delivering for most places
  11. Really? One blob I was looking at on a line to London now fading. EDIT: More than one. Yellows to light greens to blues the closer it gets
  12. Well nothing here in south London and looking at the radar nothing to come for many hours at least. All a bit rubbish. I'd hoped much/all of London would at least get a dusting. Always 12/24/48 hours ahead zzzzz
  13. That's just SE trains covering their backsides though more than a forecast. In the past they've adopted a heavily reduced timetable when the chance of snow was about 20% by every model. Didn't arive and they still ran the skeleton service. Clearly the chances are higher now but I wouldn't trust an SE guidance for love nor money. Could come at 3pm or 9pm they put up rubbish anyway
  14. Usual suspects there. News orgs who cut journalists to the bone so knock out sensationalist stuff for clicks
  15. As usual, nothing to show for another "cold" spell. Still, over in MOD land that'll be brushed off as they get excited about something in 4 days, then 6 days, then 10...
  16. Where will be worst affected on Friday/Saturday? Hasn't been too bad in the SE today - wind reasonable but nothing compared to elsewhere. Rain not too bad. Trains 95% ok too. Same on Friday or much worse here? And is it a Friday afternoon event or midnight and later?
  17. Even the TSSA union is out not just Bob Crow's RMT. The TSSA did not go on strike from 1926 to 2010. Couple it with train problems due to the weather and tomorrow is a day to stay in if you can.
  18. Yep, drag everyone down to the levels of the lowest paid rather than lift up those at the bottom. A nice race to the bottom. They get 26k - how dare they! Put them on 12k. Then let benefits top it up to pay for ridiculous housing costs in the UK so the taxpayer loses out. It's a job where they get abused day in day out living in the most expensive city in Europe. And then cut everyone on more than 12k across the country down to minimum wage. Is that your solution to unemployment?
  19. It's not tube drivers but station staff. Do keep up. 1000 station staff will be cut. All ticket offices closed. So much more fare avoidance without staff so savings will be wiped out. All those things you could only do at offices like add gold cards and disabled railcards to an oyster card or sort out refunds and use vouchers will go.
  20. Thames barrier pic is true but it is a designed run off space. No chance of getting close to breaching the second wall and threatening homes. Also further along it overtopped the wall and went to the car park below new build flats though its designed to do so when the barrier shut.
