  1. Nice to see some folks getting a good covering. Not much round where I am but was up in Ballymoney earlier and it was snowing rightly and it made for beautiful scenery on the way back to Glengormley. There wasn't too much once I hit Antrim on the way back though, bit of a covering once I got back to Glengormley but that's all it was, very little depth to it.

Absolutely perished ! That wind is just freezing !. Just been out to eldest daughters car (tyre pressure warning light on ) Mum can you check my tyres, all slightly under inflated , now topped up , blooming sensor not off even after a drive. Might go off on a longer drive or might just be faulty . Ah well let’s leave it , i doubt you’ll be going far next week !

oh and it’s currently icy rain

Nothing to do with the weather but are you sure she actually has a pressure sensor? My car puts a light on when it suspects a tyre is under inflated but I have to reset it manually in the settiings otherwise the light will just stay on forever.

  3. Just a few powdery granules fell overnight, not enough for a covering but wife and myself just remarking at the wind. Far worse than when Ophellia arrived, have to be honest and admit I'm glad we didn't have snow to go along with it, would have been crazy conditions. Had to pick up spuds from Tesco yesterday and the roof of a trolley bay blew off and hit a ladies car, not good when folks property getting damaged.

Heaviest snowfall ive seen in years here -? massive thick flakes. I’m only back from Tesco an hour ago when I got soaked with torrential rain - now the heavy snow is laying on the really wet ground.

Tried to post a video from my phone but it’s too large ?

Lmao, came on here to see if there was snow on the way and read your post. Looked out the window and couldn't believe it, big flakes and things getting covered. Maybe I should have looked out window first. :D

Am jealous!! That's class. Nice one!! I would say you will see more before the night is out.

As you were saying earlier Ronan, we seem to do well in this part of the world, suppose it's the Belfast hills with a bit more altitude. That last band has just passed but think your right, see another one following not too far behind. Hope you get a bit more up in your neck of the woods too.

  6. Just a couple of pics from a lovely foggy walk this morning up Cavehill. First I've popped on this winter, usually check in to see how everyone is getting on with the snow but not too much in the way of that this year. In saying that, I did enjoy the dry spell (albeit dull) earlier in the winter, was nice to have plenty of opportunity to get out and about without getting soaked. Hopefully see a wee touch before spring but have to see it's nice seeing the days lengthen too.

Anyway, stunning views from Cavehill earlier of the fog, these pics don't do it any justice but a lovely crisp morning to be out for a wander.

  7. Hi folks, hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Thought I'd stop by a share a pic from the other morning I was very fortunate to get. With all the heavy rain and winds we've been having this is one from between the storms. This was the view of Belfast blanketed in fog. I've been up the Cavehill many times but this was one of my most rewarding visits, the views were simply incredible.

  8. I knew there was a reason i wanted to live in Boston ! not only for the sports teams but to get even 1% of the snow they get each year would do me in this blinking country!! Unreal amounts adding up there! pretty dull boring cloudy winter weather here at mo. What a waste of a few weeks this is going to be unless you like dull dry weather of course!

As much as I love the snow this weather comes a close second, far rather have it than any half hope of snow only for it to be raining and damp again. Definitely not a waste of a few weeks, I've been able to get out with the camera, up the Cavehill and down at the docks in Belfast, make the most it,I'm loving it.
