Government on about moving May Day bank holiday to October! No - we want to create an extra bank holiday in October not move the an existing one! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12372625
depends TWS. I'd say it's more likely for snow on the coastlines in mid-may than in mid-october, especially the North and West, but inland, October all the way methinks. Land is warmest in July here, Oceans August/September (late Sep in Atlantic).
hope it doesnt happen. The more days i have off work in spring/summer the better.
Thundery wintry showers
Snow occurred widely across the UK in the first week of May in 1979, 1982, 1987 and 1997. In contrast, mid-October hasn't seen any advance on localised snowfalls since before 1950!
