      It certainly isn't one or the other, last winter was for the most part both sunny and mild

      Assuming of course that it will be cloudy all the time. Mild doesn't always equal cloudy nor does cold always equal sunny (yesterday was grey start to finish).

      Agree though - I generally prefer crisp & sunny above a grey 6c. But like those who complain the moment it gets above room temperature outside in the summer - sometimes you need a break... It is costing a fortune to heat at the moment if nothing else.

      Yes, as you stated, yesterday was grey start to finish and an absolutely stunning day to boot. Whose heart is not feeled with joy when rime ice coats all the bushes and trees and turns the mundane into a winter wonderland. Whatever, we can't do anything to change the weather, what will be, will be.
