  1. I just reviewed their tweets and they’ve tweeted the same thing 4 times today
  2. I can also confirm light snow in Malvern
  3. Just had thunder and lightening in my location. Accompanied with heavy rain and hail!
  4. Seems like things are becoming slightly more favourable for my location as the night goes on, which I hope, because its literally dissipating by a few miles!
  5. Netweather Radar subscription purchased! I may have just tempted fate.
  6. The 12z euro 4 for precip type doesn't look too bad for our region either.
  7. Those showers out towards the west of Liverpool look slightly interesting, following their current path it looks at least a small chance they are heading towards more parts of the midlands? Of course, whether they maintain any intensity is another question.
  8. GFS closer up for the same time frame, looks a little different. I think the majority of precipitation will be gone by the time the cold'er' air kicks in
  9. Steady snow falling, nothing spectacular but decent sized flakes nice bus journey from work after a pretty rubbish day!
  10. Noticed some light snizzle when I was out driving earlier..... looking at the radar, can see something developing over me, showers pepping up slightly...
  11. Got snow now, after sleet for a while..... this isn't going to last!
  12. Must say here, flakes are tiny and seems very wet...... intensity not matching radar thats for sure!
  13. Indeed, earlier showers were intensifying then dying out before they even reached shrewsbury..... hoping that they will be part of the feature running through and will continue to intensify! They seem to be getting a lot further inland than earlier anyway
  14. My thinking is that the East Midlands might do quite well, I myself am too far west. Possibility for precip to hit here, may start as snow but readily becoming rain/sleet I feel. Just a guess mind you!
  15. Nice to finally see more of a dusting, earlier snow falls were not settling as easy! Everything a lot whiter outside now here
  16. Small band of showers heading into Birmingham now, intensity improving somewhat over the last 5 minutes.
  17. Yes it is a shame we are not getting a shed load of snow, however I must say, the radar looks a lot better than I was expecting it to be! So i'm pleasantly surprised, even if it will not amount to much!
  18. I notice the intensity is so variable, one minute its greens and yellows, then its just blues, then its yellows..... I need to stop analysing every 5 minute timeframe! (netweather extra scale)
  19. Whilst following the forum avidly, I rarely post. However I was just wondering if I was correct in thinking, when it comes to showers, models precip charts are even more unreliable and that theyre more to pick up trends/areas more likely to receive shower activity. Surely its better to look at the radar more so than rely on the models at this time frame?
  20. Thanks both, really appreciate your input. I really hope being on the southern side will make a difference but I'm not completely enthusiastic. However anything will be better than the chilly miserable weather here
  21. We decided to book a weekend in Gran Canaria going 7th - 11th November Having looked at the forecast it seems that it was a bad time to go as all it will do is rain and there's not much chance of sunshine. Seems like Spain would have been a better option than the canaries :/
  22. Cloud looks like it was building but now looks like its trying to fight from the west. All I know is I'm outside in the garden and the clouds are appearing every few minutes!
  23. Been following all night. Here in Birmingham, we really have done really well. I can see how marginal it is for other places not too far away, didn't take too long to settle and transition began quite early. Though I wish it was earlier, walking in the rain earlier was miserable!
  24. Still snowing here too. Has been all day. Definitely a brilliant snow day
  25. Very light snow fall here. Bubbled up on the radar
