    Neither would I but not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on a weather station, I decided to go for the Davis Vantage Pro2 and its been a solid reliable station with very little issues so far.

    I'm just going through all the options to try and get it to work iv'e got the usb version and had a problem before where it wouldn't detect it and I cleared the console and reconnected the logger did the setup again to make sure it knows the logger is connected and then it started working.

    Was just thinking maybe try wiping the history on the console to see if that helps but remove the logger first from the console wipe the data and then reconnect it and see if it starts working i'll admit the problem is difficult to solve but i'm just thinking off anything that might help!

    John did you clear all data from your console before installing the new logger?

    I wouldn't go for the Netatmo they have quite bad reviews but any of the others look fine but i'd either go for the Youshiko or Bresser.

    The picture with the clear connector in the picture the new cable that is a RJ11 end and the black block end what connector is that?

    So does the logger has a RJ11 on the end only and can't remove it?

    Do you not have a bit on the end that is USB or Serial? As i only see a RJ11 extention cable in the picture? Your logger is one of the older ones looking at the picture?

    Would you be able to send a picture of the cable and the logger?

    Got down to -1.9°C this morning with some fog as well, but its soon cleared into a lovely sunny day! Currently 6.1°C

    How odd I must say, did you try it on a different PC/Laptop because I don't know what else to suggest to check if its the logger or the PC?

    Down to 0.3°C going to be frosty in the morning!

    Quite a nice day here but a very cool feel today, could see first air frost of the season tomorrow morning but will have to wait and see. 8.8°C

    It sounds as if the console is completely fine the issue is either the data logger itself or something corrupted on the software following the steps as PIT said you should be all good, if the problem still exists after i'm wondering if the data loger could be the issue especially if its quite old now?

    Or you could even try deleteing the software and reinstalling it to see if that helps solve the issue although you would lose your past data if you went down that route?

    Have you tried to create a new station on the weatherlink software to see if that starts working, as in starting from scratch as to when you first try to link up the console with the software?

    Does sound like a strange fault! I can't understand why its stopped working, I know i had a similer issue a while back but I have the USB logger and all i did was double check the connection by testing it on the weatherlink program where it detects the connection and the problem solved itself?
