  1. In other news netweather offer refund for their poor radar output
  2. Snow is drifting here now .... well the 3or 4 flakes in the wind
  3. But there is very little precipitation around it’s all heading NW
  4. Sorry spelt it wrong its the arpege I have found its precipitation forecasts the best this winter in my line of work, not to say its always right mind you
  5. This could be what we need (in The Midlands) nice streamer setting up could be around all day the arparge model has been performing well with its precipitation forecast during most of the cold outbreaks
  6. Yes the SE is going to get buried .... cold and windy most other places with occasional wintry flurries
  7. Think you are right ... think we might get a few flurries from this ....thinks could change but our bite of the cherry dosent look good this weekend
  8. Think they are called models for a reason ... they can dress up and look amazing to the naked eye but once they have been on a couple of runs they not looking so good
  9. Think this band may stall for a while yet betting around south Birmingham
  10. That’s not a hard hit unless you like a sprinkle lol
  11. Looking like a very sweet spot under the triangle of Redditch , Worcester and Stratford for tomorrow
  12. Like you I’ve been reading models since the 70s good old Alt sci days lol but don’t you feel everyone hangs on to the models like gospel is oldies know the best surprises are not even seen 24hrs out (snow of course)
  13. Just a question as much as love the entertainment on here do you guys actually realise that most of the weather and in particular snow has not shown up further than 4 days ahead .... I can point to much of the snow fall last night as an example . Just for fun I have been comparing much of the hmmmm models chat on here for the last 8 weeks and also looking at the bbc country file forecast for the week ahead and to be honest shock horror not one has achieved more than 40% accuracy
  14. So my Thoughts on Sunday’s front .... firstly it’s being driven by some very cold air and as yet is still not clear how it might fill and grow or which direction it may take .... however I feel it will be more potent than what’s beign forcast also I think the pivotal point of it may hang around for a few hours .... radar watching is the key but my guess is places slightly SW of Birmingham could be in for 3 -4 hours of constant heavy snow and places slightly north and east of that an hour or 2 of similar.... all to play for and some good falls in place
  15. Well we had a covering now all melting but a least we had a bit .... on a serious note temps have now dropped to 0.3c so it’s going to be an icy night .... take care on roads folks
  16. Well that band will get everybody excited unless it moves at 1mph it will give a sugar coating at best
  17. How is it when the radar is full of rain it’s always heavy rain and yet when it suppse to snow it’s bone dry ... the radar shows very heavy precipitation above my area and nothing yet if it was rain be sure it will be hammering down
