Looking at the radar I expect the snow to stop in the next hour but at the moment it’s still coming down pretty hard.
we’ve had a covering from it though which I didn’t expect after the dreariness of the last couple of days.
Keane turned into a good solid player under Dyche and hardly put a foot wrong for us.
but the feeling amongst Burnley fans is that partnering Ben Mee made him better and going to another club would expose this.
Every decision your manager made was met by derision by the fans.
i knew he wasn’t over popular but.........
on another matter, what the hell have Everton done to Keane, barely a shadow of the player we had here.
I’d love you wish you luck for you localish derby today but I just can’t seem to get the words out of my mouth.
what i will say though is good luck for whatever lies ahead after today’s game.
Hope it comes off for you but I was showing light snow overnight here and nothing fell so i’m Certainly not optimistic for the blues showing over the southern Pennines.
one thing is certain though......the wind is still howling here and it’s going to be bloody cold sat on the Turf for the lunchtime footy.
Sod the East Lancashire Railway, I want my snow fix.
TBH though, I am a few miles up the valley from Summerseat and with more exposure to the east but i’m still not expecting much here.
I’m pretty sure you’ll be ok.
Radar shows a line of showers heading through West Yorkshire towards East Lancashire.
They only look light but better than nothing and if they make it over should be snow.
Still windy up here but not as wild as overnight and at least that fine crap blowing of the tops has stopped.
will the front heading up from the south reach here, somehow I doubt it and I think that we are entering a bland few days of cold nothingness.
Sorry to hear that Sf, hope everything turns out ok but these winds are terrible.
i don’t know whether it is the excessive speed of the gusts or the unusual direction but the entire house seems to be creaking and the noise from the trees across the road is constant.
According to the radar I am right at the edge of whatever is falling and it’s been the same for the last two hours.
It looks like drizzle but temperatures are well below freezing and it isn’t icing everything up so must be snow grains although it’s probably just fine snow blowing off the tops.
Highway in the Sky section was closed for much of the day as was the M66 down Rammy and the roads from Burnley to Rawtenstall and Bacup we’re both blocked by snow so let’s see if tomorrow brings an improvement.
