Dry start but the forecast doesn’t offer much hope of it staying that way throughout the day. looking better tomorrow and Sunday although no doubt the weather gods will be leaving no stone unturned to give our region the lions share of any rain on offer but given the relentless crap of the last few months, even a decent two days out of the four would be a good effort, certainly for anyone with outside plans.

Sunshine and showers sort of day coming up for most with a postcode lottery of who sees the lions share of the dry, usable weather and who get soaked. It’s sunny here at the moment but in the last half hour we have had a bit of everything including heavy hail and I think that this will be the case throughout the day. hopefully a bit better tomorrow but next week and the Easter weekend onwards are looking, to put it politely, depressingly mixed.

PennineMark just a shame that they’ve taken the car park or is it back again now. On the odd time that I drive in to the centre to pick my missus up from meeting friends it’s a nightmare trying to park these days. your right about the town hall though, never been inside but it’s an impressive building from the outside

Not particularly a train enthusiast but it’s not every day that you come out of Rawtenstall retail park as A4 Pacific Sir Nigel Gresley is slowly heading into the station Just a shame that my phone was in my pocket but a lot of cameras were in action. weatherwise, it’s tuned into a lovely sunny and mild spring afternoon.

Up at silly o’clock on a rest day as it looks like we’ve got an early delivery slot from a two letter online electrical retailer. that said it’s a 4 hour slot so 7.15 could still end up being 11.15 but at least it frees up the rest of the day. just need the rain and grime to sod off so that we can make the most of the warm sunshine that’s apparently available at the moment.

A bit of a strange day weather wise, foggy start quickly turned into a lovely sunny morning and a lovely drive up the M6 to Morecambe. sunny while we were looking at caravans but it quickly clouded over as we came back down home. rain then on the way to, during and after the football. another interesting thing was that, thanks to the inability whoever set some temporary lights, we got from the top side of Morecambe to within 2 miles of home in the same time as we did the last 2 miles and then after straight in and out only just made the match. biggest surprise of the day though was that Burnley actually won

If we must have mild weather then why can’t it be the dry sunny type which at least makes it feel pleasant rather than the default cloudy wet conditions that take away any benefit and still leaves us with a cold raw feel. not the briefest glimpse of sunshine here yesterday and although the heaviest of the rain kept away for most of daylight hours, it was still depressingly wet and the 12c reached hardly felt pleasant. today’s forecast is hinting at the mid teens but again the threat of rain is there so it’s that we get a clearance and some warm feeling sunshine as the front heads off north.
