About Me
Became interested in weather forecasting in November 2008 and took out a 1 month subscription to NetWeather-Lite.
I'm not brilliant at maths but I do find that equations help explain things.
Have read and would recommend Alan Watts' "The weather handbook" and "Instant Weather forecasting". Am currently reading McIntosh's "Essentials of Meteorology". This has some maths but is very well presented. Have several books on clouds which is where I think my answers lie.
Driving force is to be able to improve on the met office weather forecast for Dartmoor. Am fed up with staggering through the rain mumbling "Dozy weather men" because the met office output doesn't recognise the local climate of a 2000 ft elevation.
I am a geek by training, and an artist by profession!
