  1. I think it's time to give up on this winter. It's not happening. People in the MOD thread really are filling themselves with false hope.

Thing is Backtrack, I don't think you ever ON BOARD this Winter, were you? Its pretty much the coldest it has been this winter IMBY today and still it rains, yuk. All our whingeing now will hopefully see end up having a beautiful Spring and Summer with a few more Thunderstorms thrown in for good measure. I can but dream. No false hope IMHO, only if the observer is reading the charts wrong. Not mild until next week at the earliest though, alongside no meaningful prolonged deep cold either.

Not really had a good vibe about this winter from the start with that horrible mushy spell still persisting from around November, it just didn't feel right, and look where we are haha. I don't have a good feeling about spring and summer either, it seems the more you look forward to a season, the more you will be disappointed. I am praying for a pattern change :(

triple, you say chopping and changing but what has changed in the meanwhile? Yes a brief cooler spell now but the stat quo returns. Whatever, if we can all see beyond the disappointment and rightful despair for others (ie. flooded folk) perhaps we can learn from this weather situation and learn to give yet more respect to Mother Nature as she clearly rules the roost!
