yep it indeed is however on the odd occasion it can be a sweet spot in streamer situations just hoping tonight we get some proper snow and to give the cover a fighting chance of lasting tomorrow hopefully

Few flakes starting to drift down again.... All I want is a proper thick covering instead of this sugar coating

Yup id say 1am to 2am for north of region and 3am ish for us in the south of the region

Wish you the best mate! This will melt easily tomorrow so needs properly freezing and depth adding later tonight ; think I may wake up early tomorrow and have a little look

Hovering around 1c here but snow outside isn't melting ; hopefully the temp drops a little just so it can freeze a little better and then the showers later bring some depth hopefully

Slushy covering here it's an I've rink out there currently ; hopefully this will freeze properly and more snow will come later and make more of a covering.

Yup id be happy for this snow to freeze up abit for the showers to arrive later and accumulate properly ; but at least we have a base to work with. Temp down to 1.2c now and snow has stopped

just goes to show what been right on the coast compared to been a little inland does

we will receive a proper covering there is more to come from this band and then more tonight . This sugar coating is fine for now it'll get better as time goes on.Temp now down to 1.4c it's slowly declining which is all good and starting to give the covering a chance to accumulate

You guys in Yorkshire get ready for this band of snow if it reaches before decaying ; this snow has layed on ground what was soaking wet so that's no problem either and I'm at 18m asl and 10miles from the coast

Heavy snow now and the ground is nearly covered just some patches to sort out and then hope for some depth after that it certainly is and with more snow tonight this could be a good event! Hope this keeps going for a while

yup who said you need to be 200m+ were about 18m asl haha temp down to 1.6c now as the snow falls

same here haha whatever does lay better not melt when it stops! That would be very infurating hahaa

Medium sized flakes here and roofs and cars white again.... Now the ground it's trying....

it's really starting to try but the wet ground is putting a fight up haha I'll give it 15mins and see if it's properly settling

yes but today's snow was forecast similar just without a warning so it's just wait and see

yep I would agree with that but hopefully temps will peak shortly and will decrease again to put us back on the right side for this evening and overnight
