NickyB noticed that as well,do they use high res graphics nearer the time,as it showed totally different graphics last night, either they have nailed this with pretty much a non event under 250m or they have got it totally wrong,Sod’s Law say the former. off to bed after a night shift hope to wake up to better news but I doubt it.

severe snowstorm models are all fine, the wording on the text forecasts are often way off the mark.if you look at the one for the midlands it says snow in the north of there region I know @Weather-historygets really annoyed with there written texts,no concerns from me this morning all looks good for a period of snow lasting into mid afternoon.

For the life of me I have no idea why the southern extent of the warning has been removed makes no sense after watching the Forecast just now.looking good for the region to see snow on Thursday, also it showed the event staying as snow even in southern parts, before temperatures rise and the rapid thaw sets in. @Thunder Snowyes will see snow as the LP pivots and heads west(don’t forget it’s an Easterly flow) @Jackski4Friday will be rain unfortunately milder air pushing back up.a slow process, area further north and with altitude probably see more snow on Friday.

James M really? not trying to convince you either way,but GFS over the ECM over the next 72hrs ECM hardly covered itself in glory recently but for the GFS to outdo the ECM in such short time scale would be a major victory for that model,if we believe the GFS we are going mild straight away even the Meto are forecasting Wintry showers from the NW for the weekend.
