  1. Few more flashes in Southport again now, from the south and one from inland, we're surrounded!
  2. Periscope from Bournemouth https://www.periscope.tv/w/aGcHpzY3ODk3NTB8MzMzMDkyMjfNl45DOS_TvIQ1EGU7qDhLcA7isb1UohBdYkDQ3dkt5w==
  3. Flashing and rumbling off to the South again in Southport, but I don't want to stop looking at the Bournemouth webcam!
  4. Some enjoyable flashing and rumbling off the coast here in Southport for the last 30-40 mins that's settled down now, but the town centre itself is still bone dry so must have been a little ways out.
  5. Just passed over Southport, extremely heavy rain probably even heavier than we had with the big storms that came past on Monday night. No flashes or rumbles as far as I saw or heard, though.
  6. Has reached as far North as Southport now, some nice lightning strikes (although not that close, seems to be a few more miles inland)
  7. Just read the 11pm forecast discussion and this made me smile: THE OFFICIAL FORECAST MAINTAINS THIS INTENSITY FOR THE NEXT 12-24 HOURS. GRADUAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED THEREAFTER WHEN IT IS LIKELY THAT INTERNAL DYNAMICS...WHICH ARE NOT WELL UNDERSTOOD...WILL INFLUENCE THE INTENSITY. Igor doesn't want to play nice with their shiny new experimental ERC probability system.
  8. Could just be another wobble or my eyes being crooked but I'm sure it's starting to nudge a little east now on the loop.
  9. TS Gaston is born! Now I have to try to get that song from Disney's Beauty and the Beast out of my head. edit: He's come a long way since being a 10% chance yesterday
  10. 98L is up and running on the NHC satellite imagery, I expect with Danielle, Fiona and especially Earl to worry about they've just not got round to tagging it yet,
  11. I'm lurking like a big fat lurker on this forum (as I always do when it's hurricane season) but a couple of things occur to me about Danielle: 1. She's purty 2. It looks like she's turning north on the nhc site satellite loop, although it could just be a deceptive wobble, and will go a teensy bit east of the forecast track they've just plopped down.
  12. Alternating between completely chucking it down and more moderate steady rain her (Southport)
  13. Quite a nice video of the strike on Beetham tower in Manchester earlier today: Apparently there was also a plane struck while taking off from the airport which turned round and landed again this morning.
  14. Manchester has gone very dark, heavy downpour and occasional lightning strikes, looks like January rather than July! Sat here in the CIS tower enjoying the show
