  1. It's very unprofessional though, they should at least warn the public of the potential for this storm to develop.
  2. The Irish Met haven't even mentioned the possibility of storm force winds!!!?? http://www.met.ie/forecasts/
  3. Was at Beltra beach (Co.Mayo) @ bout 6pm, was fairly quiet, but suddenly the wind picked up,( probably funnelled down from Croagh Patrick) and thought my car was gonna be blown into the sea! very scary! had a real adrenaline rush!
  4. Just had a nice surprise there, a thunderstorm developed right over me, heavy rain and thunder claps, wasn't extreme but by my standards it was brilliant!
  5. Beat me to it! tremors increasing too. something stirring? http://hraun.vedur.is/ja/oroi/esk.gif
  6. Mag 2.1 EQ on Katla. Rising trend on the esk tremor chart? http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/myrdalsjokull/#view=map http://hraun.vedur.is/ja/oroi/esk.gif
  7. Thanks milkmaid! I can't view that one as I haven't installed the required plug-in. Don't know what that means
  8. Just spotted that now! it's showing up on the tremor charts though so maybe it's correct? http://hraun.vedur.is/ja/oroi/esk.gif She ready to blow? Anyone got a webcam link?
  9. SC24 is definetly getting it's act together! This is a southern hemisphere sunspot, along with sunspot 1005 (northern hemisphere).
  10. I don't know much about sunspots, but the last few small ones that have appeared are from SC24. They seem to be getting more frequent but are not lasting long.I'm just keeping my eye on them to see if they start lasting longer, then l'll know that SC24 has started for certain!
  11. Or, maybe not.... http://www.solarcycle24.com/index2.htm
