Is it snowing in Cardiff yet?
It actually snowed there last week but we live about 15 minutes away now and guess what we had sod all . I thought buying a house higher up would get more snow, like hell

Some more organised precipitation forming now on North Wales coast moving SE.
Showers in Cardigan Bay starting to look a bit more interesting too
Some decent showers too! Hope we all get at least a dusting over the next few days.

I've still got a feeling that the low will get as far North as Bristol. Not worth writing it off yet unless there's a drastic shift Southwards.

System has tracked further North based off the latest GFS output, however all other models have it further South so we'll have to see what happens in further runs later. Bit negative but I'm not expecting it to get as far North as South Wales.
-
Let's hope all models get on board of the system tracking North, if GFS backtracks later on then it's safe to say we can write this one off.

On the GFS it has inched further north! Hopefully not to much more north than this.Be ironic would it not after diving through Paris in the end it dived through Birmingham
Bit of a turnaround if this continues North, I don't think this is going to be nailed until tomorrow night as they'll need to issue warnings.

Anyone else watching that front over Northern France? Won't come to anything but it's edging North.

10/15% chance imo.
I agree, very slim chance of this happening now especially with cross model agreement of it missing the UK to the South.

For now im going to keep my expectations low for snowfall here. Northerly winds are no good for my location and the low looks going to far south. It will be a real shame to have this cold weather without snow but it seems like that is most likely for SE Wales. Still chance for change over next few days though.
It's a pity that this cold spell if you can call it that is going to only last around a week when models were showing it being long lasting days ago. Nevermind, at least we can save on our heating bills when the Atlantic train rolls in next weekend. .

How the heck is that widespread??
I agree only mentions West Wales.

Mid and East Wales less likely to see any snow based off current output. Still time for the low to move north though.
-
Same old saying get the cold in and the snow will follow, but for the majority this won't be the case it'll be back to milder conditions next weekend based on current output.

Looking good for the South coast possibly if the low gets far enough North. Apart from that looks dry.
-
This is just one model run remember, it's likely to and will most definitely change again numerous times. I still find it strange why the Met Office would be overly confident of the low pressure system not heading South though.

Hope your right jay ….. the trend hasn’t been our friend today with it tracking further south than modelled yesterday we need to start to see that move back north a bit of the comming runs ….. think brum north can now be ruled out for this LP ….but SW still has a chance of course looks as though secondary Low may give us what we want just less perhaps ….. keep watching
It's missing us now apparently .

Hope you get well soon Andy. Hopefully we get some snow next week.
-
Still a good chance of snow for Wales next week?
-
Looking like a snow to rain event next week currently based on the latest model runs, I hope not but it's happened too often in the past!
