Very chilly here tonight, been raining all day, wouldn't be surprised to see sleet or even a little snow if this keeps up overnight.

its been relatively warm here for the past few days i even turned the heating down again but today it is very chilly and boyfriend just phoned from Reedham and said he has had to put his hat and gloves on as it is too cold to work outside otherwise. i'm looking at the charts for the end of the week with interest as the 14 day shows snow here for thursday friday and as its only about four days off, its within what i think is a reasonable timeframe, although i appreciate that these things are generally only forecast with accuracy with a couple of hours. could be some excitment for next weekend.

If it follows the past coupleof days this wind wont get going till tonight.Its once again really calm outside, but again in the early hours i heard some very strong gusts of wind around the house, strong enough to knock the door knocker a few times.

lol, so much for the tv weather forecast, i finally caught it at 10 oclock, it said it was going to be very windy here at 11 oclock.Not a blade of grass is stirring. and it said windy with heavy rain for the weekend.

Hi snowangel Well,it was very still here all day but in the past hour or so the wind has been getting gradually stronger again and now it is again howling in the chimney, but as you say, i've just been outside and it wasn't very warm, but not very cold either. Im trying to catch the weather forecast on tv to see what the weekend is meant to be like if its still going to be windy.

Boyfriend phoned me from Reedham last night and said it was very blustery and he was thinking maybe some branches would come down.But it was still here at the time - around ten oclock.However, in the middle of the night I woke up because the wind was howling in the chimney and something was clattering in the wind outside. Just been reading about how bad it was in the North of England last night, and unless i missed it, i don't think it was very well forecast by tv weather. All is calm again here this morning.

A raw wind here snowflakes falling at the rate of about one every hour! LOL

Damp chilly and misty out here today

Very cold here now we slid on ice outside of Norwich very early this morning a little later we saw a major accident with a car on its roof nearby so I don't know if the ice was a factor nothing happened to us we just slid sideways gave boyfriend a start as he was driving then we straightened up again.

Very chilly here at present boyfriend keeps begging me to turn the heatinup.

Boyfriend slid on black ice on the way home from Reedham at about 6.30 tonight and I saw a little bit of ice on a puddle in the street.Boyfriend was ok but didnt expect it.

Really bitter raw wind outside right now.

Been to town today blue skies and some sunshine but a biting wind and dry.

We had torrential rain for about twenty minutes at lunchtime but nothing else happened and its clear now.

Report from Reedham that there's a slight frost forming over there now. I think the latest weather report just on sky shows snow much further west in the region and only heavy rain over me.

well i will stop looking out of the window for now then, its still dry outside and not very cold as i can see there is no frost on the cars as yet.

Just went outside and there is now a cold wind blowing, still dry.

it was quite warm outside again this afternoon.Still dry here.

Just to illustrate how the temperatures are changing at themoment this afternoon I went ot Dereham and at around 6pm it was so warm that there were people in the streets with bare arms, then I came back over here and at about 9pm went outside and it was so cold I was shivering with my coat on.

Just come in from town its cold but not bitter and there are a few very small but definately snow flakes floating in the wind.If you look very carefully lol.

I'm following this discussion with interest but really I don't see why someone couldn't come up with a new method of interpreting or forecasting weather charts.It reminds me of when they said the world was flat then other methods of working it out were discovered.I think its great that we evolve and discover new ways of thinking about things.I am sure there are other weather related issues we have yet to discover and may not discover for decades to come.It would be boring to think that everything which could be discovered has already been discovered.

Maybe a stupid question but curious if temperatures get down really low again can your weather station break? If its outside?

Very foggy outside here as well although warm. A couple of hours ago out of curiosity I looked at the long term Metcheck forecast, for 13th January it is showing heavy snow symbol never seen that before usually it just shows snow showers. Just caught Anglia weather possible sleet/snow for Sunday but everything can change before then.
