Im looking to possible development from the wave just of the coast of Africa. With regards to arthur i believe if it does exit into the BoC then we will have a strong T.S or maybe even Cat.1 -

Great Pictures - shame about the size though. Maybe its just me but picture 6 looks like it might just have had a funnel developing to the westside of the storm. -

Seriously is lightning that rare were you are that you could guess it being nearly two year ago?? Presumably that was the last time you had a decent storm?? :lol: -
Well i only heard the one realy loud rumble, i think i might of heard a few distant rumbles, but there was a lot of noise from traffic and stuff so it was hard to tell, added to that the wind was blowing a easterly - i was south of the storm. I can say though it braught torrential rain and hail.

Pictures taken on a cam phone which is a pitty because this was an impressive looking storm. Just after 3pm today an impressive storm crossed about 8 miles to the north of me. Here is the view just my east from were i was standing in the first photo... The Gust front trailed for a fare distant west... The next are looking North and North East and showing the front and its curvature..

Ahh i see :blink: . I only said that because i thought the curvature of the clouds above the gust front indicated that the main cloud might have been rotating - thus indicating the presence of a supercell. But regardless of what type it was, it certainly was an impressive looking storm and those pictures on that link are excellent - i think the mammatus was pretty.
