  1. Its not just us in extreme SE England then (although we have a better chance of something ) Weather tracker: dry September in parts of Europe leaves rivers running low | Rivers | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Concern as significantly lower level of the Rhine could have big impact on transportation
  2. This in two months or so,s time would be excitable, but like ever, we get great wintery set ups in autumn and again in mid spring..try getting that in the depths of winter ..like pulling teeth ..
  3. On gfs we have out to 300 hrs 18 mm,thats a drop in the ocean to what we need ..we in exreme se are definitely becoming dryer .. for sure
  4. Thats what im saying nothing really is happening action wise ,but what a lovely day if wasnt for losing light quite so quick you would think it could be late august
  5. Well ide report something if something actually happened but its just ... i dont know the word , not run of the mill as its never really the right word because every day is a little different ( not much here tbh ) so its steady as she goes in nautical terms
  6. Ten minutes heavy rain in Eltham..and a flash and a bang would you believe ..that, sorry to say was it, 36 six hours of high humidity for that? ,wasn't worth it ..bring the NWsties in, or a a cold high, or even a touch of frost wouldn't go a miss ..storms here this year were so hit and miss , mostly miss ( by their nature you think ) but there is times to throw the towel in for someone who needs it lol
  7. Flooding if you have arm bands is better than drought ..lesser of two evils I know but ..this just downed me (excuse the pun ) but 300 meters ...(north and south downs ).but i know now why we clutch at straws in winter for snow ..lot of variables I know but blimey that's bad .. and if you was a mountaineer top of mont blanc you have cold rain ..( join the club )
  8. Bit like centralia ..will they ever burn out ?.first lesson wet = no fires, hot and dry = big fires....let's hope their winter is wet too ..cold helps but not cold and dry because next year it gets worse ..so wet = no fires..so no smoke ..:(
  9. oh I could have took you both down the riverside lovely pub not far from bridge reminised and got slaughtered ....wake up on bench by river in morning families furious ..just a se weather meeting mate ..what's the fuss ..warm night though
  10. Not a lot happening in our patch I don't think we will get much of anything but sun which I'm not complaining about , I think the moist air was a bit quick of the mark
  11. I think if this if comes off it will blow someone's cobwebs down ,maybe not ours but someone's @120 as well
  12. Well I'm sorry I haven't been in touch (thank God you think )but I've had so much rain it it got in to my old phone even ..so time I downloaded swapped, connected to this new one the whole lot had passed through , and this time I wasn't left high and dry
  13. Right ok got you ...but its like saying the most of the rain will be west of the pennines, which are mountains compared to the downs ,I've never heard the weather forecast say dry east of the downs ever plus the downs run more or so east to west not north to south ..give or take ..
  14. You can see on the radar a little low trying to form on the front over south Wales, hopefully will slow it down and give us the rain we need here ,its all,ifs and buts ,we need bit of a head start with moisture because if we have a high pressure sat over us in our autumn and a dry winter we will suffer in spring ...
  15. Well its that gloomy its still dark here ..and fine drizzle ..I'm not sure even for the time of year its this dark normally
  16. No way ..you litrally made that up...it can't be this and that and all at the same time together can it ..high ground ? ? Wheres that then ? ?high to what sea level ??. .thats a puzzle we will work on it
  17. Well what with the oscillating 3.4 flipped I with my season predictability...EN SO not much at all ..the high flies south with the swallows..so odds on nothing ..lol
  18. Yea especially by trees ,it will dust again in couple of days if no more rain , looks like with what was in dumper they had more rain than me in Tonbridge but only soaked in a fraction
  19. Not really ...it rained which is godsend but not much really and I've circled my one bang that was it ..
  20. Its lovely to hear from you , I love st Leonards...but waiting for action here in mid Kent is like watching paint dry ..:( ...
  21. Right , so like lottie said its about to cross the drink (channel ) by the colourful cross's we activity in that cluster ..there is an odd purple x in the east ..false positive I think because nothings there ( unless some one let flare off in distress ?) It must be elevated surely so relatively chilly water won't interfere with it ..will it ?? .
