  1. still nothing here .. thats why i guess lol.... frost melted off the roof opposite though
  2. but tbh there is nothing better than it falling in your own garden is there ..i could go up the downs or quicker ide hill or toys hill they got to be 750 odd feet but its not home is it,plus if like 2018 i did and got stuck for six hours up there sorry dec 2017
  3. ill go where you want me to go within reason (not silly like cairngorm) from 35 ft too 800ft if i had any precipitation
  4. well looking at radar and predicted positions and pressure depth it is little further north and slowed and deeper by 4mb ,take what you like from that ,need people on the ground from coast to hills
  5. all the quicky quirky 3 dayers you know ecm hi res and 4x4 etc gave covering right up top of your street (whitfield) then by jolly they changed to give chilterns best bet ,but next its not going that far north you know , but now it is all changed ,like a storm chase we should phone in to met office ? ,dont just sit there in exeter mate come see
  6. different models run to run have disagreed totally from jacko to light rain to light snow (back edge ) to nothing ie no back edge ,the whole lot have disagreed, but with height is best which is why i liked last cold snap no hills involved just crisp and even when they say ..over 100m 330 ft to us old people ,but a bit of uncertainty, if they say that... the big boys, then no wonder we are none the wiser
  7. Hope you grassed him .. :) or is that a cut above above the rest lol Oh its not a hose pipe thing sorry .. ...ground 1 metre down south London is still very dry ,south east London has a variety of different soils ,from chalk to clay and flint to ballast...metre down all dry still ,run off i guess
  8. But my favourite character is windy Miller..what a bloke ..even as kid I loved him ,1.. he had a dirty great windmill (which to this day i love ) he made his own cider and when calm he sang a song and whistled for the wind , all in all run of the mill
  9. Could be a burglar ,fagin used to tell us never go choring on a still night ,wait for wind ,clumsy theives get heard a mile off
  10. I reckon we may have a couple frosts mid Jan ,ground not air ones that would be pushing the boat out ..
  11. So your really saying we are waiting for something out of the blue , some little outlier to come true , a local anomaly, just to confuse the whole set up ,possible yea? ,like driving down motorway we are going one way other side going other way all good and average and flowing ,then there is a minor incident, everything slows ,in that you change everything and then more smaller occurrences happen , then bang we are on it, against the flow of the bigger network ? My fingers are crossed , bit like throwing a spanner in the works ps I love your posts ,the time effort you put in is second to none ,happy new year fella:)
  12. Yea red and blue buttons bang straight in ,no radar then not for us anyway ,but you could if remembering back get a box and a normal aerial or special aerial and you could get radar even then but it was about 1500 quid more likely 4500 now but obviously no need, can't remember what it was called ..any way, Yalding Kents flood capital is on brink 1ft water accros some roads ,some shut ,river to the brink ..but looks lovely from up hill a bit ..
  13. like happy new year you all ,i just found my way home ,what's happened anything : ) feels like I've been away a year ,all i know is it was dire then was windy ,but where that was i haven't a clue
  14. Thats all about we had to go on 24 hrs till updated ,what was itvs called can't think of it ..
  15. Dont take that horribly either ,long time ago lol ,but always love where you live whatever ,home is where the heart ♥ is not where you hang your hat
  16. You got it fella absolutely amazing nights ..First see it in Mayfield then I was hooked, went to see as much as possible thats a lot from a kentish person ,in the olden days we never knew which way a person in Sussex would swing ,but a parade they can do , see Kent was Kingdom all its self ,Sussex never knew where to go ,wessex or Kent, you split in the end west Sussex more Hampshire innit ,west country accent ,East Sussex more us isn't it ,what I am really sad for is Middlesex ,its gone, but in name ,sad because they wasn't a bad bunch ,?west London now ,they play cricket i think still ,rest absorbed into other counties or London, the moral...don't let it happen to all of us ,thanks for the memories
  17. Then again what is good ?all of us here have preferences ,mild and dry ,cold and dry ,humid and stormy ,rain ..well thats the joker ,have to have it but its better than a drought or stand pipes ,cold and wet (gruesome),cold and snowy only for a little while though till I say stop ,the weather is a roller coaster physically and emotionally ,so the mad thread is what it is ,reading in to what we all fancy for the minute for the time because if you predicted on there what happens your happy ,but it might not be what you wanted ..so your a halfer ..
  18. Yea I agree ,but not really as cold as it did get ,my gloves was sticking to metal ,my window washers froze couldn't see much with salty roads, slipping and sliding with melt and re freeze ,imagine six months of that ,instead of looking for cold we would have the hump... looking for a southerly yeees. Be up to minus 3 tomorrow ..baking ..
  19. They was lucky then lol, but we had a week with it there on the floor all crisp and virtually even ish ..no run run to the hills to see it ..rare really wasn't it
  20. Yea yea fantastic nights ,they travelled about too didn't they loads of them i think they was called bonfire societies ,fantastic ,glad so glad you remember and they still do hopefully ..you can take a person out of Sussex but not Sussex out of the person ,nutters
  21. This is i know a big horrible dirty looking problem ,this isn't our normal creeper ,ivy etc etc ,it must have heavy pollen because it doesn't get much further than say 100 metres in to woods ,up and down roads and railways mostly ,where it corzes most grief ,its a cancer of our trees its evergreen so it brings trees down that have lost their leaves or strangles them ,if you sped it up it would have us over if you stood still too long ,some people have sussed it and cut it ,most not ,winter you can see it a mile away ,summer is harder obviously ....its not natural for here i know ..
  22. What a bleak miserable day ,least its relatively mild at 10c Might get my arsenal of saved snowballs out and throw them.. ,but they are like cannon balls now, they won't go bumfff up the window they will go straight through it
  23. Lewes is the place for strange ones ..they don't just do Halloween or guy fawkes there, they have bonfire parades, drummers the lot ,deep Sussex crazy bunch ,lighted torches in hand proper mobbed out ,pitch forks the whole shebang Bloke up the road, well 20221227_205439.mp4 about a mile a way tbh, got his search lights on best effect when proper low cloud
