  1. Hey fellow NW peeps. I don't generally post but this weather is such a change to the norm for here I couldn't resist...such a nice change for areas like mine and Preston to get some of the white stuff. It's coming down again here, nice big fluffy flakes...just need some of the thundersnow and then I can be forever happy  Fingers crossed for those of you that haven't seen much of it so far, I can imagine how frustrated and peeved you'll be feeling as I have been there so many times before!
  2. Hi Chris I'm working in Preston and it has been raining heavily for the last twenty mins or so but no storms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though, surely it's got to be our turn soon...
  3. Not sure which echoes you are on about with the radar - type in pr6 and you can see it's only just reached here. However it's getting lighter and lighter but can just about make out the odd flake fluttering about.
  4. It's snowing here in Chorley  Not big flakes but pently of them so peeps in Blackburn, Wigan etc...should be reaching you soon.
  5. Fingers crossed for you today, although not in a great place you may still catch the edge of the band stalling over you. The radar shows that it should be snowing here but nothing as yet...and in all honesty it's not even feeling too cold out there but can't say the temps as am furtively typing this as work
  6. Well nothing here in Chorley or Preston, and looks like if it does reach these areas then it won't be more than a dusting. Oh well one day our time will come and everyone who has got it have fun and stay safe <_< p.s Hot*Snow - where abouts in Lancashire are you?
  7. Hmmm, the weather warning has now gone from the North West for Thurs from the MO...anyone know what's changed since this morning
  8. Thanks Hot*Snow. I wasn't expecting too much anyway so everything so far has been a real bonus.
  9. Morning all. Had a good couple of cm's this morning, the lovely powdery stuff too. sadly am sat at work now, and it looks like a nice flurry is just about to hit where I live. I see there's general agreement that tonight is going to be a non-event for us now and I wondered if anyone could explain what's changed please Thanks.
  10. Yep, was watching that band on the radar hoping it would be just a little further south for me
  11. Hi all us North Westeners Thought I best post something as we're all being very quiet at the moment compared to the other threads. In terms of our snow prospects I expect to see some snow flurries...hopefully more than that though but you just never can tell here can you.
  12. Pouring down here, has been since about 7am. From walking from my car to the office (30 seconds) got absolutely drenched. First heavy rain in a long time.
  13. I don't know, although I wouldn't write it off after Feb as my birthday is early April and (ignoring last year) it's snowed a few times on it.
