After raining all day now turned to snow here in Luton! Keep it coming!!

Snow here in Luton for bout 30 min now not settling as expected but wind is so strong looks like I'm in a snow globe

Luton has done very well, heavy snow on friday and considering that today the risk was that it was too far west, good stuff :-)
Really have done very well! Dread to think what work is gona be like tomorrow tho! Some people's driving is bad enough on a day with the sun splitting the trees lol

What I can't understand is how the mo have only issue a yellow warning for here!! It's been snowing in Luton since 9am and there is more than Friday has settled on main roads too! Still yellow warning!? :s

sure its not snizzle.? DP's still subzero. i have noticed a few reports of light rain around the se this morning but with dp below zero, i cant really understand them. i just assume the precip is so light it cannot be noted to be of ice. surprised you are seeing a 'thaw'. are you sure some of the snow hasnt just evaporated where it was thinly covered?
Defiantly is a slight thaw going on here! I can hear dripping and also the snow on all the cars seems to be thinning where it is now sleeting
on the plus side we had a fair bit of snow so is still plenty lying on the ground. Slightly confused as to how we are having a bit of a thaw and well the sleet thing is even more confusing lol -

Peeps, I know its all disheartening. Got remember its only the start,This cold spell is not a cold snap. N/E Wind flow coming in,Temps will fall. I'm confident of more snow moments to come through-out the week and week-end. Surprises do turn up at times as-well as the let downs.

This was always forecast to be the mildest day of the week, -8 uppers should be with us tomorrow

Nothing here. Surely the dewpoints later will certainly provide snow if precip is forthcoming.

Yep I think we have some sort of warm sectror over us at the moment, +2 outside at the moment and a thaw going on.
