Found an easterly gale with snow this morning in Copenhagen glad I am now travelling west on the train.

Steady light snow now at Ash Brake N Swindon Temp -1.7C

Much as everyone else have been reading these threads for a few days now. Gut feel is based on his rational non emotional approach to model interpretation and his undoubted experience is that Ian Brown's opinionswith the GFS will prevail. There is just something about his justification/explanation in the face of a barrage of opposition that seems more plausible.

-4.1C frost on the car/ground in N Swindon 7/8 nights of ground frost.

-4.1C lowest here in N Swindon that makes 6/7 mornings with ground frost this week.

Dry, clear and now sunny in N. Swindon. Min -3.1c (lowest in Feb only -2C)

Ah the mythical easterly or unicorn that some on model output have been trying to lure to our shores on and off for the last few weeks. Sorry it has arrived ............ for the Grampians today but Scotland doesn't count as we are in the more important S of the Kingdom.

Update from N Swindon 0.5C moderate snow again now has eased off and come back a couple of times. Been snowing since at least 07.30am maybe 2 - 3cm on grass not much on pavements and rooves etc

Officially reburied end of last week 18th so 44 days and counting. With today's snow the base will last a little longer.

Yes true heavy sow now here @0.3C in N Swindon (wasn't expecting this as was 3.6C and rain at ~ 12.30am
