Don't want to make anyone jealous but it's snowing quite heavily here. Cold too. Expect a couple of inches by morning. I'll post a photo if it looks pretty. :smilz38:
It said on BBC news that the Scottish cabinet has tonight given advice to Local Authorities that schools in the East of the Central Belt should close at lunchtime and schools in the West of the Central Belt shouldn't open at all tomorrow.
Found this weather forecast on the Traffic Scotland website (for Strathclyde). They are highlighting the Thu/Fri storm.

It's been seriously blizzarding here for about 2 hours. I'm in South Lanarkshire. Just drove from Glasgow. Roads really bad from Hamilton southwards. Wasn't this the same weekend last year that the snow hit? :smilz38:
Really heavy snow in the South Lanarkshire area. A total blizzard in fact. Just drove from Glasgow. Roads horrendous. Took this photo of my car about an hour ago. Snow much deeper now.
I've moved all my pots and baskets to the sheltered side of my hedge.Wonder if the Met Office will give the Central Belt a 'red alert' at some point???
Oh wow! I'm on top of a moor about 10 miles from Lanark. The snow falling here is absolutely incredible. Total whiteout. Glad I'm safely tucked up at home.
