Exceptionally cold and wet weather forecast for here in Glasgow. NW winds continue to blight us. Used to dislike winter, but other than the daylight hours not much difference.

Really think yesterdays storm under reported.In west end glasgow many roads closed and chimneys down. I saw many crushed cars yesterday. Tonight council vehicles trying to mop up vast areas of flooding.Unbelieveable and many people struggling without insurance for fences etc. Mad weather and unusually bad even for us.

Was 91 mph gusts in Glasgow yesterday. Unbelieveable destruction. Flats behind me lost chimneys and debris all over. Now flooding - really bad news for flats without roof covering. Hope nobody else suffers this tonight.

Is it not because worst winds are expected between 3pm and 6pm. I know these things can never be predicted accurately though.

Renfrewshire schools closing at 1pm tomorrow. Nothing yet for Glasgow City Council. Doesn't look good though!

Radar looking a wee bit more optimistic for glasgow. BBC showing heavy snow from 9pm......lol

You are cofirming my worst fear. Radar shows nothing hopeful at present, Clutching at straws here.

Am I alone in thinking this weather is not too bad. After the storms of a few weeks ago I have enjoyed a return to traditional scottish summer weather ( albeit a bit cooler). Today was lovely in the sun. I know model output is not great - but when is it ever for us in west of scotland. This is fine!
