  1. Cheeky little squall line just passing through, with thunder and hail, temp dropped to 9.8
  2. Come to Royston, it's been snowing for about an hour, covered side roads, paths etc
  3. Autumn, if it's a dry crisp one, just love the light and the changing colours of the trees
  4. Snow hasn't stopped since 9am this morning in Royston, even settling on a road where salt has been put down
  5. Been out this afternoon, just to the west of Cambridge..constant thunder heard for 15-20 minutes without a break, never heard anything like it before. Then on way back to Royston drove through hail, with lightening flashing directly in front of us... have finally seen the first proper storm for this year
  6. Heavy rain, with a few sleety flakes in Royston. Temp dropped from 9.2 at 11.19 this morning to 2.8 now..
  7. http://www.vegagerdin.is/english/ Hope you don't mind, but for those watching the Icelandic weather, you may find this link useful. Some snow showing already on the webcams in the North.
  8. Been thundering for an hour now in Cambridge, getting darker and louder, but still very little rain....
  9. Storm going on at the moment in Cambridge. Not seen much lightening, but we have rumbles of thunder and heavy burst's of rain.
  10. Just experienced our first storm of the season. 21.34mm of rain in the last hour with fork lightening and loud claps of thunder.
  11. Woke up this morning to a 3-4cm covering of snow, which was at 6.30am, has been snowing ever since, but appears to have turned to slush now in Cambridge.
  12. Snowing well here in Royston, good 3-4cm's om ground...also covering again where cars have been on our side road....
  13. We are travelling up to Carrbridge for a week tomorrow evening, so I am hoping that the model's are correct, just to see what proper snow looks like.
  14. It has been snowing non-stop since 7 this evening, we are also experiencing gusts of winds upto 34.46mph, on flat surfaces it is about 3inches, on the windows where it's been blown against them its about a foot. What a day for the heating to have decided to pack up, they hope to be here tomorrow..not sure about that at the moment.
