  1. First decent storm in Basingstoke for some time. The back edge of it was particularly interesting with very low level cloud racing east to west and exceptionally strong winds for a few minutes.
  2. Thanks for the reply SS Regarding the tuition fees, sadly I don't think England is going to see anything changing on this front in the near future. But the fact that Scotland is able to offer its' young people free education does suggest that it already does have independence in some key areas to make incredibly important decisions? My point is that I think this one issue will be the decider for young people in particular and the fact that as things currently stand they do get free education surely is a big plus for remaining in the union, regardless of the "potential" for cuts? Interesting
  3. Don't post on here all that much; generally a bit of a lurker! The point Nick raises about the relationship between Scotland and England is my concern. Despite not being born in Scotland I've spent a lot of time there and love the place and the people dearly. I very rarely actually post in here but I do spend a worrying amount of time reading through the threads (particularly the MOD thread) trying to understand and learn more, whilst looking forward to the next bout of interesting weather.
