  1. My email is on my profile page if any of you ever need it. (chrissittlington@googlemail.com) MS, when you hit to attach photos in your email, wait a little bit for images to upload. That's probably why they are arriving blank. If you want to attach photos (using PC or Laptop). Go to "More Reply Options" when adding a post, Below the bit where you write your text you will see a box that says "Attach Files". Hit "Browse" button and locate the file on your pc. Click on it and hit open in the bottom right of box. Click on "Attach this file" on netweather (just below the browse button). Once uploaded, click the "Add to post" highlighted to the right of the picture preview that appears (very small and above the Attach files section). Hope that helps. Here's one I made earlier, of me.
  2. Electric out for 10 minutes here, street lights keep going off and on. Thank god it came back on, no candles and needed the loo for a number 2.
  3. The only way is to either transfer them to PC and attach from there. Or, post them to facebook and use the image URL method pasting it onto the forum so we can look at them. I could then edit the post and use the picture embed button for you.
  4. If we get an extended period of heavy snow here in Bangor (rather than the light - moderate - semi-heavy stuff) then I could see it laying and sticking. Surface temps now cold enough to see that flakes are laying for longer and if this freezes over. Could be epic.
  5. Well, it started wet snowing about 11pm last night, it's still going now and with the small break in precipitation that's 11/12 hours of constant wet snow. No accumulations apart from slush and melting as it goes, but my goodness, if it had all lay we'd have some serious accumulations. I'd say about 5-8 inches so far if it had lay.
  6. Well, now it's time for me to go and lay down and turn out the lights. Watch some tv whilst facing the window at lamppost angle. If it gets heavy or begins to lie, I'll be back. p.s. No partying without me.
  7. Wet snow here in Bangor, blowing in the wind. Unexpected to say the least. I just popped out for a bit and have sobered up a good bit. 3 pints of cider is all I had. I'm a lightweight. The naked sledging is still on by the way.
  8. A wagon wheel rocking (I automatically thought of the biscuit version)? I'm rocking tonight with my very versatile music taste, from Poison to David Gray to Daft Punk to Skid Row to Napalm death to U2. Precipitation taking its time down in Ireland, very sluggish. Could be 3/4am before it is here.
  9. VERY Good question ginger. Presumably, as some areas in the North and East are still retaining snow cover from a few days ago I'd say the answer is yes to those inland (near the existing cover), and for those nearer the coast it will be hard to call. Quick thaw maybe, but if it freezes overnight Friday/Saturday, could last longer.
  10. WHO?...Is it an ex chippendale or something? Never fear, the Watcher is here. Young, Wild, Smart, Fun and Talented. And thats just the top half.
  11. now now, I'll have to barr you with talk like that . we all know I've a very..............I'll save it.
  12. Exactly my point, imagine the uproar of sordid videos on Netweather of a drunken mod sledging naked on Castlereagh hills.
  13. If I'm invited, I'll come....us weather nerds need some social life lol.
  14. 45 minutes without a post. What are you lot doing. It's snowing. Just kidding. Without anyone to chat to the Cider is going down fairly quick. There seems to be 3 balloons attached to the power lines directly outside my window. One says 2 on it, the others just coloured. Wonder if it is a sign. 2nd biggest snow event of my lifetime. 2 inches of snow with 3 days lying or vice versa. I'll meet a 23 year old gal?
  15. New thread for us: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/76184-ireland-regional-discussions-210313/ This one now being locked, I've started on the cider already.
  16. A fresh topic for us to discuss, report and forecast our local weather for Spring 2013.
  17. No whiskey or beer for me, lack of funds. However, food and I've a drop of cider. That'll do, for now.
  18. The anticipation is killing me, I may just go for a kip before it all starts. Must remember to clean windows a bit on outside, terribly dirty, obscuring my view of said lamppost.
  19. True, I thought they were Easterlies but I haven't actually bothered looking at wind vectors lately. If it is SE winds then I have some shelter from coast. Still, I set my hopes low so it's more of a surprise.
  20. Doesn't look good for me near the coast, but I'll be happy seeing some heavy wet snow and big flakes. If I'm lucky, maybe a temporary covering.
  21. Pretty easily explained. Most if not all this winter/years colder spells have been from an Easterly source meaning winds coming in off the sea for us coasties making surface temperatures that little bit warmer than Inland. Most of the spells have had an initial thrust aswell, meaning lying snow for a period with a thaw setting in quicker than a more prolonged and strong flow like Dec 2010. They are having difficulties in posting it up. Clerical/Technical just.
  22. Low would mean from sea level to 100m I would say. Some crazy Accumulative totals for snowfall being projected at the moment. GFS 0Z has 60-80cm on Mournes and 10-40cm widely around Northern Ireland. Latest NAE shows snow right to coasts too.
  23. Anyone for a camping trip to the Mournes? Now that would be fun.
