  1. Very heavy snow now falling in my part of the lake district. For years and years I sat in houses and offices in Market Harborough (Leics) and Moulton (Northants) and watched snow go to the east and west or stop short from the north or the south. You want snow? Move north with altitude.
  2. Mountains plastered and snow showers at my level too giving a covering
  3. Overnight low of -0.9c. Sunshine breaking through. Foggy tops. Level snow of 7cm. Fortunately lambing not yet started.

  5. Couple of cm's is all, over all surfaces and now being blown around. The hill's will be plastered but have not been able to see them since 10:30

  9. Dry overnight. Min temp of -5.7c. Sunny blue skies and surrounded by snow capped peaks. Perfect. Met office showing heavy snow shoers for my area later this afternoon.
  10. Overnight rain at valley level has given most tops in the northern lake district a covering of snow. Min temp of 2.0c. Now cloudy with odd glimpse of sun, 5.5c and breezy
  11. Snow is forecast (Met Office) to start falling on Blencathra during early Monday and at some point every day for the rest of the working week.
  12. Snow on the tops of my local hills this morning and met office forecast for 6 March showing snow symbols for my area even at low levels. Overnight low of 2.6c and sunny intervals at the moment.
  13. Overnight low of -1.4c leading to a nice frosty morning with sunshine and all tops clear.
  14. Overnight low of -6.3c recorded at 05:36 and now sunny blue skies and temperature still below freezing
  15. wow seems like being between Clough Head and Blencathra was the perfect spot to be a winter wonderland up here
  16. @0928 Temp of -3.0c Snow depth of 4c. Cloudless skies. A winter wonderland in the northern lake district. My first winter here certainly making up for the snowless southern one's
