  1. Hoorah. Blue skies and sun have arrived, even if just transitory.
  2. Wet, still and mild 8.3C. Looks like plenty more rain to come judging by the radar.
  3. It is still very light here at 9pm, and there is still light in the sky at 10pm, enough to be able to find your way around if in an unlit area. Should be lovely light evenings until at least 9pm for the next 2 months now. Great vidoes WH, thanks for posting.
  4. Cracking the current severe limitations in battery performance has to be a major step forward in reducing the need for power generation by other means. Presuambly these new batteries work with other forms of green energy generation such as wind power?
  5. A wonderful clear night with a low of 2.3C. Skies now milky, but sun still shining.
  6. So far May hasn't been too bad, albeit rather cool at times. We've had a couple of dire days, but the rest of the time it's been OK, and generally a lot better than forecast. Strikingly, the hawthorn, or mayflower, is still not out properly here, a true sign of the cooler conditions.
  7. Despite the rather unpromising forecast, it has actually been a very pleasant day. Top temp of 14.6C and no where near as windy as predicted.
  8. Best of luck with the snow BigStorm, when you get lucky down there, you could be in for a treat. I will miss your snow reports Meanwhile it's breezy, dry and bright here this morning, 10.2C.
  9. Bit of a shock to the system today. After yesterday's wonderful weather, it's cold, grey and wet, 8.0C.
  10. A low of 2.1C last night. Bright, sunny day today with a high so far of 15.8C.
  11. Rain overnight here, so I'm glad I cut the longer grass yesterday afternoon. Currently breezy with sunny spells, just the odd spitty shower thrown in, 11.5C. Most showers seemed to have passed through now.
  12. Very mild but cloudy, 12.5C. Dry.
  13. One of those dull but bright days with the odd glimmer of sunshine. Temp currently 14.5C so already warmer than yesterday.
  14. Sunny spells and breezy. Not feeling especially warm at 10.2C.
  15. Missed all the showers yesterday, but plenty of rain today. Should be easing soon judging by the radar. Cool at just 10.8C.
  16. What is the significance of that for our spring weather, or perhaps longer term out look?
  17. Agree, and now there are lots of showers around. So far, we have missed them, but our luck may run out!
  18. Cool night, down to 2.7C and it looked like a touch of ground frost around 6am. Currently sunny spells and no wind.
  19. Gusts back up into the 40mph bracket.
  20. Currently wet and windy, and radar not giving me much hope of a drier interlude, 9.6C.
  21. Mean wind speed decreasing here, but gusts still well into mid 40mph.
  22. Pretty much the same here PM. Horribly windy and gusty for May.
  23. Good drop of rain overnight. Currently drizzley and windy, the type of weather that makes you really wet very quickly, temp 10.6C.
  24. Still dry here Bish. Rain seems to be further south and east at the moment, thus sparing the northwest of the region. Not a bad day overall here, some nice spells of sunshine, 15C.
  25. Tonight's rain just heading into Cornwall. Looks like it could be pretty wet. EURO 4 model predicting just under an inch for most of the region in the next 36 hours.
