  1. Quite probably! However, the question is when... I'll stop being Mystic Meg and just tell you all that this horrible fine snowy stuff continues to insult Nottingham with its presence.
  2. Oooh, Viking banter, my favourite. Given that the 2 housemates I live with both come from towns with "thorpe" in the name (Thorpe St. Andrew, Norfolk; Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire), I'm happy not to be a Viking, and that King Alfred the Great of Wessex told them where to go after they attacked Wareham and Swanage! Still, I wouldn't want to share a thread with those from Canterbury if I was back home. Still snowing in Nottingham, for the record!
  3. In an update to my last post, the snow is coming down a bit harder now. The hardest it has been today! Looks awesome! If only the flakes were bigger...
  4. Where's C_S to? Probs on the A46, but still, guess what's back? SNOWING IN NOTTINGHAM! Again. :o Finally, someone that sees the allure in red headed maids! There's something about them... Doesn't stop me partaking in ginger banter anyway! :o
  5. In other news, I just saw a snowflake pass my window. Literally one. I suspect it was lost. What? You can't surely be human!
  6. That can't be you, you're not a red head! Ooooh, red headed girls...
  7. This bit of your post is right! I've never been to Leicester (to be averted in March, when I should be heading to Leicester Beer Festival), but I'm pretty sure that anywhere is better than Nottingham. It's still not snowing, and the South West are having more. Pah. This, to me is wrong. My belief is this: Reading: South East Oxford: West Midlands Bournemouth: South West Southampton: Scumlands South East Portsmouth: South East Basingstoke: South East Yet we receive the same news. For example, someone in Dorchester will recieve news from Newbury and Brighton & Hove. WHAT? Someone on the South Central thread was shocked when I said I'd rather have news from Plymouth than Southampton, even though Southampton is nearer. Ho well...
  8. This sounds like a similar debate I had on the South Central thread, when I told them that the concept of South Central didn't exist. It says a lot when only people from 2 counties (Hampshire and Berkshire, occasional West Sussex) frequent that thread! It should be removed, with the Hants and Berks peeps told to go South East. Dorset people have been welcomed into the South West thread very happily! Now, I put this to you - if you believe in a "Central Midlands", what is your opinion on a South Central? I don't like either of these - the Warks/Leics border and the Peak District are a very good divider of East and West Midlands, in the same way that the New Forest keeps the South East and South West distinct. Come on, let's be having ya! Corrected that for you AJ! *Runs*
  9. Rugby and Nuneaton are in Warwickshire, therefore West Midlands... *sigh*
  10. Pretty sure NG7 doesn't look quite that nice, m'dear! Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything at all really, so a nice surprise to see a few white specks sail past my window!
  11. I've definitely heard that before - what I'd term as Alt. Americana or something. To get people in the mood for snow with the video, have this missive from my favourite band: Yeah, fizzled out here as well. Surely that can't be it? Besides, my view of the QMC from here is still a little obscured, there must be summat in the way?
  12. We still have these microscopic flakes here, if this persists then we will have some sort of dusting, I'm sure. Naaaah, more of an indie kid myself (though do occasionally have some tendancies to heavier things, Lightning Bolt for instance). Though, as you're a metaller...try this for size (I don't know if it's one of their best, I don't listen to them, but my housemate does - said housemate is also drummer in my band, the other housemate is guitarist, I'm bassist ) - http://www.youtube.c...h?v=nJzLGU5rjSM
  13. Was about to say! Chilwell would be to the NW! Definitely snowing here, and it's actually trying to settle! Good luck to it, it's gonna be interesting to see how well it does.
  14. Having been to the town in question, I can confirm that it isn't worthy of getting through the swear filter! Though one of my housemates has been known to go there occasionally... Definately anorexic snowfall here - it's coming down fast, but you're damned if you try and inspect individual flakes - you can't see them!
  15. You can't be looking hard enough! Getting heavier and a little more snowy in nature in NG7!
  16. It's been spitting little white things all morning, all looks decidedly sleety out in this part of Nottingham. It amazes me, how can you spell Aberystwyth correctly, yet fail to spell Bournemouth correctly! The number of times I see people spelling the name of what is pretty much my home town wrong...ARRRRRGH! But never mind, now you know!
  17. Personally, I was thinking of South Park's inept police officer, Officer Barbrady. For pure comedy value. And everyone, please be careful that you don't put -izzle onto the ends of words, otherwise I think Beccaboo's going to wet herself. You wouldn't want that on your conscience, now, would you? Fo shizzle.
  18. Move along people, nothing to see here... Then again, what did you expect from Nottingham...
  19. Snowlight Robbery, what did you do? I've never seen so many Dorset people climb out of the woodwork quite like they've just done! Well, good luck to you all at any rate! I shall enjoy my non event 150 miles north of God's Own County!
  20. Although a "Dorset peep", I'm in Nottingham at the moment, so likely to be about as much use to you as a chocolate teapot in this situation. Still, at least you guys are actually likely to see weather (and alcohol, in Matt's case), this thing's barely gonna make it to us!
  21. It's adverse when it hits Nottingham! It's actually weather, for a change!
  22. Yeah, about as slim as Victoria Beckham I'd say. Ooooh, snooker. Why's that, summat interesting happening?
  23. I must say, when I have to get something out of the -80 freezer at uni, it doesn't feel a lot colder than -20 or so, however holding something that's just come out of there with just a thin latex glove on is incredibly cold.
  24. You know, I'm glad the Met Office never put out any heavy snow warnings for today in Nottingham at any time. Would have only served to get our hopes up and that. :)
  25. ECM looking lovely - back to the usual winter affair! To be fair, if I were home, I'd be down the beach looking at some of that!
