  1. I don't see it - the wind is NNE and I can't see anything other than a Kent streamer until that flow becomes ENE.
  2. The Met forecast is odd - should they not be singling out Kent? It implies the whole region will see a lot of snow.
  3. Seems to be a few hours slower. I'm just on the edge of the stuff forming off the estuary. The uppers are only -4c atm, they will be -10c by midmorning. I think we just need to be patient.
  4. Who knows, if we get a streamer then we could see some good totals. Radar watching now.
  5. I'm not being funny, but you have been on a downer for days. We are looking at a week with temps not getting above freezing and a range of possible snow opportunities for the entire region..... what more do you want?
  6. Euro 4 12z is fantastic - all the region involved at some point. Over a foot for Kent - parts to the south of London looking at 20cm (streamers).
  7. Just out on the downs - looking forward to it resembling the Alps tomorrow hopefully! Seen a few people dusting off sledges in their open garages
  8. Hoping the Amber can extend a little further west. Currently around 8 miles to the west, but still feeling very hopeful. Looking now like at least a week of bitter conditions and given Europe will be frozen, it could extend further. 1947 anyone?
  9. Meto app shows me down for 2.5 days of continuous snow! lol. I do expect some near time upgrades though. The flow seems to be modelled colder and streamers are being strongly picked up on the models. I think this could be the snowiest week for the SE since 2010.
  10. It will be radar watching. The East Coast of Scotland has a nearer constant streamer atm, similar in look to what we saw in Jan.
  11. Lovely nose of -10 850s on that GFS chart through the region. That will certainly get a streamer going! I am thinking an Feb 09 repeat - that only lasted 9 hours as well! No need for any pessimism in this thread. Some would think we were in the isles of scilly!
  12. I would not get too concerned. The Meto are seriously onboard and a few weeks ago the models showed the snow stopping just north of London. It ended making it up to the north Midlands. It will be nowcast and given streamers, we have a couple of raffle tickets anyway!
  13. Have you got any superpowers yet?? Must be a weight off your mind having had it done.
  14. Shuld stil be a good few days in our location though, especially for you with an extra 100m of height on me. I am hoping for 10cm as a miniumum in all honesty - I have promised the 7 year old now!
  15. Interesting - I expected the amber to stretch a little bit further west. The totals look similar though - maybe hedging their bets a little, with the exposure near the coast leading to more problems.
  16. Yeah, Kenley is a good shout as the airfield is very exposed on all sides. Will be bitter!
  17. Just down the road in Purley. Looking forward to heading up Riddlesdown - 180m and exposed = deep snow and good drifts
  18. The red line is the hostorical average, the op is the black I believe.
  19. I think we will just be on the right side. Given these lows always seem to adjust southwards, even a 25 / 50 mile adjustment will be enough given how close this is now. If we do not get at least some snow from such a setup, then frankly we may as well just all give up in the South!
  20. Try it with night mode off. Your device is not rendering the tablet / desktop view.
  21. Again. Hopefully it will come a little further south. Certainly a winter of two halves - great up norf and naff down south.
