  1. Must have been around 2ish because I remember thinking oh dear here it comes when i finished lunch.

Looking good for a possible cold shot of weather maybe while im away on holiday! :80: (going to Austria) :drinks:

Matt just like me am sure flooding is the least of your concerns unless one hell of alot of rain falls. :w00t:

Haha, yeah that would be quite a significant rainfall! The river is about 500feet below here.

Austria looking good for skiing tho, so you should have a good time!

  2. Hiya,

I'm off to Nepal in early November to do a trek up to Annapurna Base camp, I don't suppose anyone has an inkling of what the weather might be up there, and on the way up? Would be good to have some idea... although pretty much packing for all possibilities. I see the forecase for Everest basecamp is light snow and freezing rain (nice) but can't find anything on ABC.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Evening all!

Left for S'oton at 5am on Friday and it was a whopping -8.9C, not sure what it was over the weekend, but had lunch outside at the marina on Friday in the sun and then a few drinks in the afternoon. Saturday night was bitter though, even after plenty of vodka to try and warm up!

-1C at 5.30 today on the way home.

  4. It helps when the course's are fun, some are very boring!!!

It's not so busy on here now the snow risks are lower, looking forward now for the temps to pick up and hit the water smile.gif

Tell me about it. Thought someone this morning said local weather in Bristol was going for snow showers at the end of the week?

Would love some warm weather, it was pretty nice yesterday afternoon in the sun though (finished at 3.30 whistling.gif )

  5. At least it will be mild......... whistling.gif

    Tsk!

But at least it will be mild! whistling.gif

    LOL> Great minds...

    Tsk!

    Evening Matt,

Surely there will be some good swell at sea for the surfing then with all the rain. I dont know if you have ever gone on Metcheck (prob a swear word on hear) and look into next week say for Bristol my area, and they are showing the cold is still with us till at least the 10th March, sleet and snow showing for all of that week, and no sign of any mild temps.

2-3ft at Polzeath, not exactly ground breaking, but since I can't get anytime to go at the mo its not all bad :)

    metcheck ... tsk!

  6. Heavy snow this morning when I left for work, heavy rain down lower and it rained, and rained and rained and just for good measure, it rained some more.

By the time I got home, any snow that had settled was well and trully washed away and the rain was pelting down.

Still, 10C by the weekend and, rain! If the BBC weather forecasters say once more 'At least it will be mild' I'm gonna withold my licence fee!

  7. Did you get any snow today Matt?

I read on Ian's blog tonight possible snow for Dartmoor and Exmoor tomorrow.blink.gif

Not that I saw, was pouring with rain late last night and was dry by the time I woke up this morning.

BBC forecast looked good for N Devon, but I guess it might clip Dartmoor to. Can't see it being much warmer up here than down there. All downhill from tomorrow afternoon, 9C on Wednesday in Plymouth.
