  1. Haha, yeah that would be quite a significant rainfall! The river is about 500feet below here. Austria looking good for skiing tho, so you should have a good time!
  2. I'll let you know. The drains are already struggling, so could be interesting
  3. The radar is showing quite a large area of PPN heading into the far SW at the moment. Although possibly not as intense.
  4. 21mm of rain since midnight ... the bulk of that since 2pm today. Miserable doesn't sum up the weather today.
  5. It's a tad wet here too... by tad I mean very. The wind is rather gusty too, can imagine its pretty pants out on a boat at the mo. Still 4 months...
  6. I think it was aimed at the idea of 2 weeks of rain... surely no one likes rain on that sort of scale?
  7. Yup was a lovely sunny day here, although the frost remained on the grass and select spots all day. It has certainly gone cold again tonight so I expect another frost, perhaps the last for a while. But loving the sunshine! Actually able to get out and enjoy it.
  8. Evening all, Pretty chilly here today, max was 3.2C but a nice change after the stormy conditions last night! The sun even came out... got me thinking of drinking cider in the beer gardens again ... ah those are the days!
  9. Heavy rain here last night and this morning, currently a not so chilly 9.1C. Up from 1.1C at about 2am. Mild air is here then. Shame its not sunny with it!
  10. The NW radar has the precip around 10miles south of here at the moment, and its looking like its going to be rain all the way. We shall see.
  11. Sky still going for snow pretty much anywhere inland at least to start. After that, best book a trip to the Alps.
  12. Brilliant, thanks guys, looks like it isn't quite freezing at basecamp level yet, but gonna be pretty chilly in 4 weeks or whenever we get there! Still, got a few weeks after in the Chitwan and India to warm up again.
  13. Not got the heating on here either, but its getting mighty close, was pretty chilly this morning! Not normally on until November.
  14. Hiya, I'm off to Nepal in early November to do a trek up to Annapurna Base camp, I don't suppose anyone has an inkling of what the weather might be up there, and on the way up? Would be good to have some idea... although pretty much packing for all possibilities. I see the forecase for Everest basecamp is light snow and freezing rain (nice) but can't find anything on ABC. Thanks in advance.
  15. Evening all! Left for S'oton at 5am on Friday and it was a whopping -8.9C, not sure what it was over the weekend, but had lunch outside at the marina on Friday in the sun and then a few drinks in the afternoon. Saturday night was bitter though, even after plenty of vodka to try and warm up! -1C at 5.30 today on the way home.
  16. Tell me about it. Thought someone this morning said local weather in Bristol was going for snow showers at the end of the week? Would love some warm weather, it was pretty nice yesterday afternoon in the sun though (finished at 3.30 )
  17. Yup, very well. Even fun... well, at times Nah, been busy setting up some new systems at work, so not alot of time, but all good now.
  18. Evening all Just back from my course in Bristol, bit chilly eh! Nursing a rather large hangover after some fun and games last night. Oops. But be brought down to earth by the football! Anyway, -1.3C here at the moment.
  19. I'd take high pressure, so long as it was a sunny one rather than a cloudy one! I can't stand this rain, just grey, damp and bleugh out. I stop looking for snow around about now anyway, so warm sunshine all the way please!
  20. Rain, rain, rain, did I mention rain? Although at the gym before work the sun was shining. Or perhaps that was just stars... Looks like the max was 6.1C today, which is somewhat lower than yesterdays 7.3C at 4.30pm of all times.
  21. Tsk! Tsk! 2-3ft at Polzeath, not exactly ground breaking, but since I can't get anytime to go at the mo its not all bad metcheck ... tsk!
  22. Heavy snow this morning when I left for work, heavy rain down lower and it rained, and rained and rained and just for good measure, it rained some more. By the time I got home, any snow that had settled was well and trully washed away and the rain was pelting down. Still, 10C by the weekend and, rain! If the BBC weather forecasters say once more 'At least it will be mild' I'm gonna withold my licence fee!
  23. Not that I saw, was pouring with rain late last night and was dry by the time I woke up this morning. BBC forecast looked good for N Devon, but I guess it might clip Dartmoor to. Can't see it being much warmer up here than down there. All downhill from tomorrow afternoon, 9C on Wednesday in Plymouth.
  24. Friend just got back from Goa where it was a lovely 37C. Sucks eh. 0.1C/-0.9C here. What a difference a few thousand miles make.
