    Well it's all over, the first year at uni has flown by and I have passed comfortably. Here is the breakdown of my results (all /100):

    Calculus Methods - 54
    Ordinary Differential Equations - 80
    Vectors & Matrices - 58
    Introduction to Meteorology - 71
    Weather & Climate Fundamentals - 55
    Env Science - 65
    Physics - 60

    With weightings taken into account it works out at an average of 62.3% which is a 2:1. Disappointed with a couple of modules, very happy with others, so overall I'm pleased. Now the real work starts...

    After the fun of freshers week, it was time to knuckle down and start what I came to uni for. My first term of my first term involves 4 compulsory modules and an extra optional one. I have 2 Meteorology modules (Introduction to Meteorology and Weather & Climate fundamentals) as well as 2 Maths modules (Calculus and Vectors & Matrices). My optional module is Physics of the Natural World. Thankfully so far the Maths and Physics have been A Level difficulty, but I'm sure that will change very soon!

    My timetable isn't too bad either, only 2 9am starts, and on Friday I don't start til 12!

    The uni is fantastic, my only minor gripe is that it's a 20 minute walk from my hall to the Met building. But seeing as I have a bike and it's a very scenic route (through trees, fields and over a lake) I don't really mind.

    I am also in catered accommodation (I'm lazy, I know!), you might think the food would be "questionable", but it's a brand new catering facility and the food quality/quantity is fantastic. My flatmates and coursemates are great too, although I am classed as a northerner here, despite my protests insisting I am a Midlander

    Great news regarding my A Level results and university. I had a pretty much sleepless night last night, and UCAS said their tracking system would be open "mid-morning" (I took it as 6am). Track did open at 6.10am, I managed to get online at 6.15am and discovered I had been accepted into Reading! My A Level results were Maths - A, Further Maths - B, Physics - B. Absolutely over the moon.

    I will now be studying Meteorology and Climate with a year in Oklahoma, cannot wait!

    Got my January exam results today - and they were a success! The subject where I had most concerns - physics - is now looking much more rosy. Got a B in it, and a good B at that, 70/90 with just 2 marks off an A. That now means I only need 54% of the remaining marks to get the B I need overall. Got 81/100 in my Maths exam which is also an A, and I am now on very comfortable ground to gain the A I need (need an average of 60% in my remaining 2 modules).

    In short, I now need an absolute disaster in the summer to avoid going to Reading. Oklahoma 2012 here I come

    I also visited East Anglia Uni yesterday. One thing I didn't like about the uni is the "concrete jungle" nature of it compared to Reading. But I suppose where it lacked beauty it gained in practicality as some of the halls were right next to the Environmental Sciences block! The distance from home also was a downpoint. But with my exam results today it should be Reading I will be going to in September

    Well I have received my final offer today, so here is the full list:[b]University of Reading[/b][i]Meteorology & Climate with a year in Oklahoma - AB in Maths and Physics plus 100 points from elsewhere[/i][b]University of East Anglia[/b][i]Meteorology & Oceanography - BBB[/i][b]University of Birmingham[/b][i]Mathematics - ABB[/i][b]University of Leeds[/b][i]Meteorology & Atmospheric Science - BBB[/i]As Reading have given me an offer, they will undoubtedly be my first choice. If I fail to meet those requirements for the 4 year Oklahoma course, they will put me on the normal Meteorology course which is BBB. East Anglia will probably be my backup.     You wait a while for another offer and 2 come at once!I have got an offer from Birmingham for Mathematics, ABB which is absolutely fantastic. Usually AAB but again due to the fact I do Further Maths it has notched it down a grade. Second one is from Leeds for Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, BBB.Now it's all down to you Reading!

    Just finished my UCAS form (what a stupidly long-winded procedure...), less than a year now until I will be (hopefully) starting university, scary thought! Just the small matter of getting AAB in Maths, Further Maths and Physics though first!
