Thunderstorm is right above me here. One flash a minute ago turned some of my electrics off.

Everything just turned off in my house connected to the mains... this thunderstorm is intense.

Do you think we'll have a storm in the Cardiff area?Storms with thunder and lightning just starting to initiate around the Salisbury area. This is the beginnning of the evenings entertainment I think.

The sun is starting to come through the low clouds now here in Cardiff. Can start to feel the temperature rising and more importantly the humidity too. Cardiff Airport is giving a humidity of around 80% at the moment.

Good website for keeping up to date with conditions on the coast in Cardiff. Temps rising sharply there.

I'm in Llantrisant. Looking at raintoday the showers are close but not quiet getting here. Had a flurry here about an hour ago but nothing since.

Light to moderate snow here. Radar on raintoday shows a lot of this light moderate stuff incoming. Doubt anything will accumulate though

Not sure why people are surprised that the UK state would rather bring the UK army out for the South East of England for 6 inches of snow.....but not care about us in North East Wales...
Unless you've not lived here long....most people arent surprised by the lack of media attention...or help

... enjoy!It's because the SE and London is home to a lot of people. There's 14 million people in the Greater London area in comparison to 3 million in Wales. If a city the size of London gets severe weather the economic effects of this would be far greater in London than in Wales on the UK economy so it's no wonder this is the case. To be honest it's common sense. It's just a fact. Anyway lets hope we get snow in S.Wales on Friday:) it's unlikely but I wanna see 1 final snowfall b4 winter is out

Well looks like I was wrong, radar shows precip now moving north into coastal regions of S Wales, and as scoggs reports snow in Barry. I am surprised and expect theprecip to turn around and head south again shortly, but you never know, could be be a dusting between say Cardiff and Swansea, maybe pushing as far north as the valleys.
Gf just told me it snowing in Talbot Green.

Winter Storm Atlas looks nasty. A lot of snow so early in the season. Watch these videos.
