  1. Don't worry, I will let you know if we do Yes Redditch is green and spacious, but at least you will be closer to the sea. Good luck with the move. Jane
  2. So that would be Redditch then? I'm off for a look out of the window. It has just chucked it down here
  3. Relative reporting thunder and lightning in Kettering, Northants at the moment (nr. Wicksteed Park) However, another person in Kettering cannot hear or see anything?
  4. I could hear distant thunder but saw no lightning and we got no rain whatsoever. I would never have said that I was in the middle of a storm, just the edge of it. I'm in Headless Cross. Just goes to show how isolated these storms were.
  5. That'll be the one. Very dark to the west of Redditch and have heard some more rumbles in the distance. It looks to be heading towards the NW and will skirt Redditch. Cheers
  6. I 'think' I twice heard distant thunder in Redditch - can anyone confirm? (especially as I have now brought all my washing in)
  7. Yeah, it could be. That means it's moving away from me. It also explains why aircraft keep flying over my house as Birmingham Airport is about 20 miles east of me. Cheers!
  8. Just heard some more thunder. I cannot see where it is coming from though. There are no dark clouds near me yet. I wish it would make up it's mind. I keep trying to dye my hair and every time I pick up the bottle, I hear a rumble (The problem is I am terrified of storms (well, loud and overhead ones) and if they get too close I have to drive to my friend's house. I just know I am going to end up round her house with dye running down my face.
  9. No hail here in Headless X, but can hear distant sounding thunder. Birds have stopped singing, neighbours dog keeps barking and very windy.
  10. Loud thunder in Redditch - coming from the north
  11. Glad you heard that one. Now I know I am not going mad
  12. You are welcome. I have only heard the one rumble, but it was definitely thunder. It's a bit pathetic really or maybe I jinxed it with my announcement.
  13. Either that or someone was moving a bin, but no, definitely distant thunder (Headless Cross area anyway)
  14. We have got about 2-3cms where I am in Redditch. It's weird, as the snow is coming down, but there is water dripping off my roof. It's as though it is thawing as quick as it is settling. It's getting a bit breezy too. *off topic* @Phull - You didn't used to be an art teacher in Kettering did you? (My old art teacher was called Peter Hull and he was a wonderful man). Sorry folks, back on topic again. Kettering and Northamptonshire generally always used to do well for snow, especially in the 80's. I don't think I have ever experienced the same sized dollops of snow since I moved away 20 years ago!
