  1. Ours here in Norfolk went white and crunched like dry snow.
  2. We've had 35 or so here in Norfolk and I was seriously struggling. 41C scares me. TBQH, anyone cheering 41C is an idiot.
  3. If they've got any sense they will, but I'd expect some of the strict academies to stay open and require students to wear their blazers. Image is everything; a few students in A&E for heatstroke may not concern some of these "Principals" who, IMO, are little more than David Brent types.
  4. Interesting punt - GFS keeps showing very high temperatures within a handful of miles of the coast which seems wrong to me.
  5. I'm disabled, and cannot just "leave" to spend several days camping in our car or something in Scotland.
  6. Presumably, if a parcel of air would still be warm after water condenses out and it has dropped to sea level, it means that, in its native state, it's warm and moist, and is therefore unstable? Theta-W still confuses me, though. If it's the same as wet bulb temperature , then why use it instead?
  7. Don't know whether I'm still in - dad saw some flashes last night from the storm over Cambridgeshire and far West Norfolk, but I heard and saw nothing.
  8. Woul;d be nice to be on the grass strip at the beach in Rustington right now.
  9. Come to East Anglia - I think east of your current position is a good idea.
