  1. It might be worth waiting a bit, to see how it recovers. It's surprising how resilient grass is. If you've got close neighbours, have a look to see how theirs is doing.
  2. Agreed. It's been horrible. We've just had a coffee outside in the Sunshine, for the first time this year. Shocker. Hopefully the garden will kick on now. Scarified the front lawn at the weekend and got some new seed down yesterday evening, anticipating a bit of Sun today. Happy Days, or Day, at least.
  3. Hello @jy I do have a rain gauge, but it's b*ggered at the moment. There is however, a station up the road at Longford Park. It's showing the following, for the last week. Here's a link... https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=ISALISBU44#history/s20180328/e20180404/mweek If you zoom out on the map, there are other stations closer to you.
  4. It should brighten up later Tom. The Channel looks clearer and that's all heading our way.
  5. We've got tomorrow booked in as our gardening day, with Monday looking like a write off too. Still got plants that we bought 6 weeks ago, sat waiting to go in.
  6. Beach walk and fish and chip lunch planned today, so of course, it's now sleeting with big ol' flakes.
  7. @jy thanks for the sticky. Tried to DM you, but it said you can't receive messages. Try this map link. Two fields south of Warren's lane on the Avon Valley path. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.0082994,-1.7519495,16z Cheers
  8. @jy just saw your Red Kite over the fields on the way to Downton. It might be worth stopping off on your way back from the Yew Tree, if you're down this way.
  9. They seem to have taken a liking to the fish farm, between Downton and Charlton; but there's no guarantee you'll see them. Will keep you posted.
  10. I spent 5 hours on Saturday having fun with a blocked pipe on our Septic Tank. So don't worry. There's always someone worse off.
  11. Hello jy. There is one round here. We see it once, or twice a week. Here it is, over the garden in February. Sometimes there's a pair of them, so hopefully they'll get established. If you head up the A34, you'll see them around Newbury. There are loads up by the office, near Stokenchurch. They buzz the windows, which is impressive to see.
  12. Cold and wet. Not interested. I posted 'Everybody loves the Sunshine' by Roy Ayers in the song thread. Great tune, but mostly as a plea for sanity.
  13. It passed over here at 5:30ish delivering, from what I could make out, nothing. However, when I walked 2k South to Downton a bit later, there were flakes on the path in the water meadows. Not many, but they were there.
  14. Icicles on the brewshed... ... will be the name of my difficult 2nd album.
  15. It does look like the Radar is on the wind up between me and thee. Nothing doing here at the moment.
