  1. Venus, at approx 6:50am was incredible. I've never seen it so big and bright.
  2. Yep, missed me too. Horrible day. Back edge appearing just in time for darkness.
  3. It's changed again Lyn-M, at least it has for here. And it'll change several more times, as it one of those long waving fronts meandering along the South coast. My plan is just to watch the Rugby, then it can do what it likes.
  4. It's incredible the difference being up the top of Lode Hill makes. I was walking back up Gravel Close in Downton at 8:10 and it was just cold rain. I was wondering if I was seeing the odd splodge, but I wouldn't have put money on it. Just got my head down and marched back home. It was horrible.
  5. Cold rain down here. Got soaked earlier. Snow at the office in Stokenchurch apparently.
  6. Too right and just in time for the weekend. This week can do one. Brew Day tomorrow, hopefully in the Sunshine. Our Christmas Chocolate Porter is going on.

  8. Hahaha. Certainly not, @matt111 Same every year, newbies lap it up and nobody learns anything. Very dull.
  9. I've no idea why a bloke who claims that he doesn't use the models, is bothering to post in the model output discussion. Guess, guess, guess... Pointless.
  10. 90 mins and this bad boy is going up. Not much rain recently. Might be a one match job.
  11. A decent, sunny start earlier, but its clouded over now from the South and the wind has picked up. There's nothing on the radar at the moment, but it looks like rain could be on the way. Edit : Johnboy 1 - Radar 0
  12. Cracking day. Still sat out. It is the 2nd half of October isn't it? Zoom in for the starlings.
  13. It's just over the meadows towards New Court Farm. There's normally a Kingfisher, or two (or three if you're very lucky) out and about early on.
  14. Four days of hopefully cracking weather coming up, just in time for the Weekend. The walk to Downton and back this morning, was lovely.
  15. Been bobbins all day, but it looks to be clearing to the West now. Sat24.com suggests some of us might get a half decent late afternoon.
  16. Awful start today, but it definitely picked up. Walked from Highcliffe to Mudeford, stopping for a cone of chips at Avon beach and it was lovely. Something for everyone. The kite surfers were out in force and the walkers were lapping up the sunshine. Tomorrow = write-off.
  17. Good man. Super quick sit in the Sun, beer and bbq this evening, before it set. Tiring stuff trying to squeeze it all in.
  18. This time yesterday evening we were in the garden in shorts and t-shirts having a bbq... 24 hours later, we've lit the fire.
  19. Yep, not great. Hoping it picks up, so we can fire up the BBQ later. Off to Winchester tomorrow, but it's not looking great. Might be a case of get in early and get out before the rain arrives around noon. ?️
