I meant to air temperature as opposed to what it feels like OK, so the air temp is kept lower in drier air? Would the air temp be affected by the wind?

Why is it so cold today given that the uppers aren't that low, and without any snow cover?

Ice day today, assuming the temp doesnt suddenly shoot up. Surprising for me given that uppers are no lower than about -5c, and are due to go down to -10c by tuesday. This time last year it was 20c!
