Just find it bizzare how here in Cheshire we have 31-33 degrees, some instability and yet not any hint of storms for the next few days. What is it about round here! There's not a hint of it in the models I've seen so far. What does it take haha!

Longest duration storm I can remember here. Still rumbling away after 3 hours and still heavy to torrential rain at times. Have I been lucky enough to be under an MCS for the first time I can remember?

Sun's out now after a five minute torrential downpour and the temperature has suddenly rocketed up

Bloody hell just had a massive CG out of nowhere, car alarms are going off!

very unexpectedly just got a Lightning notification. Just heard very distant thunder to the south-east. clouds building in that direction. 24°C.
Had my headphones on listening to LBC and I could have sworn we just had a rumble near here...but it could have been someone rolling out the wheely bins!

Both Meto and Netweather showing nothing for us here this week in the way of storms. Just the usual cloud and murk, also keeping a lid on the temps. Dull as dishwater today
-
It's improved a bit from this morning tbh, but not exactly clear blue skies and sunshine here. Got some high level cloud takes the edge of the temps but still pleasantly warm.

Usual Cheshire grotty wall to wall cloud here this morning... And not sure exactly where this "scorching heat" is. Yesterday was much the same until the skies cleared very late on.

Can't see any action on the cards for us here today but fingers crossed anyway. Does seem to be warming up and brightening a bit from a grey rainy start

Utter garbage here in Chester, has been for the past week. 15c cloudy murk. No summer here

Another day of cold, cloudy, unrelenting dross. Getting me down.

I can see it, been saying it myself.
its either that or the seasons are all running about 3 months behind the clock.
It's really starting to get me down now. Another horrible day, and that incessant wind! On the rare occasions (like now) that it has brightened up a bit, it's still too cold with the wind chill to go out without a coat. It felt like a dreary miserable mid november day today. We are stuck in Autumn and not in a good way

lightning map going crazy. Even Telford might see some action!
I'd put £1000 on that veering North East past us...!

Clutching at straws but just been outside and could hear distant booming. Sounded either high up or a long way away though. Very black to the south.
Least you've got something interesting to look at. The usual grey, never ending Cheshire dross here.

Meanwhile, here in Ellesmere Port....
Wake me up in the next ten or fifteeen years when something other than a blanket of grey cloud happens....

Sunny for an hour or so early on and now yet again replaced with cool, wall to wall grot. Really struggling with weather affecting my mood atm. It's just seemingly day after day of the same thing.

The usual cloudy dross here again today. Sunshine till about 9am and the predictable mid level murk moves in and kills the day. Feeling cold too.

Absolutely dreadful late July day out there today. Pretty much written summer off here. Appalling.
