  1. That is now ten CONSECUTIVE months (at least in my patch) we have had CETs below average.

      To answer Stormmad26, January returned -0.6c departure from the norm. December 2012 scrapped it with a -0.1c departue from the 1981 to 2010 norm. Scorcher, my August return was -0.5c below average. I am positioned in a relativety sheltered valley in semi-suburbia, with woodland edge to my south.

      In my location, the last month that was above average was August (warmer, drier and sunnier than average - unnoticed due to being overshadowed by the terrible weather in the first half of the summer). I have had some months that were so close to being average that you would call them average rather than below average (eg November) but it's remarkable to have even eight consecutive months that fail to exceed the average, let alone the ten you refer to.
