    I'm in Kirkham, between Preston and Blackpool. After a bit of snow overnight, we've had snow constantly now since about midday. Really strange for us, as we rarely get anything being so close to the coast. On a slightly different topic - which Forum would I best posting in for advice on the best weather station to buy? Cheers

    Snowing in Warton, near Lytham St. Anne's. bit of a shock. Been going for about 15 mins now.

    My reckoning would be somewhere in the region of: Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Lancaster, Lake District/Cumbria..... I often wonder too, as North West covers a big area too..... round here, Preston we rarely get snow, yet Cheshire 50 miles south do well....

    I must admit all credit to met office, every snow event so far has failed to deliver, we haven't seen a single flake in Kirkham, slap bang between Preston and Blackpool.... Forecasts have gone for rain/sleet and they've been bang on.....

    I just don't think its that cold..... Just let the dog out and wouldn't say it was snow weather..... No frost, snow, hail or anything here in Preston! Not impressed as a cold spell at all.....

    Snow free zone, where abouts in Preston are you? I'm in Kirkham n we've had 3 hours of snow now..... White over bout 1" or so deep....

    Strange here west of Preston..... It's like very heavy rain but its white over everywhere, anyone any ideas why??? Really bizarre

    Been snowing since at least 6am west side of Preston constantly, and moderate too...... Is it due to continue throughout the day does anyone know? Radar looks promising..... Where abouts are you? I'm just outside Kirkham and we've got about 3 inches lying now..... Roads are well gritted though

    Currently approx. 2cms in Kirkham, between Preston and Blackpool..... radar seems to have it shifting very slowly over us.....

    Been snowing coastal side of Preston for well over 30 mins now, getting heavier very progressively, not sticking tho..... Are we expecting it to get much heavier?

    Snow between Preston and Blackpool, approx. 5 miles from coast inland.... Very light, but snow all the same :-)
