  1. Yes. Lively out there as reported elsewhere. Belting squall swept through had the Terriers barking so it was get up time. Anyway here’s some Monday Museum Piece Machinery took yesterday out and about when reasonably pleasant from a neighbouring village.
  2. iand61 like owt like that Ian. Saw Pace Eggers years back in Tottington and Bury ELR. Old Lancs traditions dating way back. St Michael’s on Wyre near us had the village Tosspots
  3. Rain Lady Yes. Pitch did looked White. Hail as loud as I’ve heard on the Stadium Roof. Torrential.
  4. Rain Lady Sun nearly out after a good soaking on the coast. Woodburners still on.
  5. Had Worse Travel the line regularly. We went down the Meathop road adjacent to the Railway line at Grange 2 weeks back. Impassable whole area is one big sponge. The Golf course has resembled a boating lake for the last 6 months. Potential collapsed culvert. Unit has damaged the Sea Wall. Big recovery job. Looking like a fortnight.
  6. Scuba steve Blocks still there. Car Park is accessible. Another thing noticed a lot of flotsam on the road. Never noticed the flood gates on properties either. Must be quite eventful these Bay tides.
  7. Scuba steve Yes. What’s going on with the Ship. Had many a beer outside years back.
  8. Scuba steve Sandside and Storth Some nice properties up there. Then on to Levens. Yes decent warmth when the big orange thing appeared.
  9. I’ll give it a go. Bull not been in Johnson’s field for a few years. Still Dreich here on the Fylde. Ready for change. Hope everyone good.
  10. Scuba steve Bittersweet with this one. Good for more “tourism” in a now very overcrowded village but the whole saga got a bit messy. Looking back Bluebird should’ve been left at the bottom of the lake. Odd how we were drawn to Coniston yesterday a place visited so many a happy time with my parents in the 70’s the first real Lakeland holidays igniting the passion. And then on to the adolescence misdemeanours of the Crown Inn. Enough said…..
  11. Scuba steve soon got to the Bardsea coast road. No roadworks in town for a change. Carried on up to Coniston - the climbing playground of Dow Crag and the Old Man looking fabulous when the Sun came out a brew in the Herdwick café, really quiet, everyone waiting for the big day of Campbell’s Bluebird K7 return tomorrow maybe. Memories of camping down Bowmanstead many time in the 70s and 80s looking out across the lake at night thinking where he could be. Mixed thoughts of all the wrangling and fighting that’s gone over the years between Bill Smith and the Ruskin Museum then again, maybe the skipper should’ve stayed with the boat All down to this which inspired Bill, a fabulous piece of music from a fabulous band. Had Worse Tell me about it!
