  1. WYorksWeather baby steps ,next week looks much better. ..☺
  2. Summer8906 yes today ,this afternoon ☺ although I took the best photo of the good weather at the time...!☺
  3. Indeed. But reservoirs will ultimately make great wild life havens and recreational places for people to visit and enjoy. As you said , sadly at the moment not nearly enough investment.
  4. Let's start a the very beginning a very good place to start....both gfs and ecm trend for higher pressure to start moving in by about Tuesday/Wednesday next week. I'm not bothered about cold or even hot ,just want some sunshine and dry weather ,and the sunshine this time of year has some umph to it. Let's hope it's the beginning of the end of the monsoon which has haunted us for the past 9 months ......
  5. UkV predictions for rainfall at around 5pm today which it nearly is and again it vastly underestimates the rainfall. If you look at the actual live radar the UkV is clearly wrong again
  6. Well given the increase for CO2 , plants, floura and fauna will grow more readily and rapidly so in actual fact some parts of the Planet will become greener…..
  7. Perhaps it’s our perception? I’ve got a book stretching back over 100 years with historical data. It make’s interesting reading!
  8. This simply isn’t true. Weather often gets stuck in a rut like now , but historically speaking there have been many examples when there are long dry spells and long wet spells.
  9. Hello, just wondering why the Ecm is late uploading the 12z last night and the 00z this morning? Thanks Ian.☺
  10. 40 shades of green, nah , more like 50 shades of grey
  11. Well it’s got better here but only just….
  12. You have to remember that the UK only inhabits 0.01% of the Earth's surface. So winters like 1947/63 the 1963 winter the coldest since the era of the little ice age ,makes you wonder why that occurred? There was a lot of nuclear testing around the world during the 1940s/50s/60's and I have mused that there could be a correlation?
  13. Must be one of the most depressing days weather wise that the weather this time of year has to offer. If today was the summary of what winter was like ….. today was the day .
  14. You're right. But would provide some great cloudscapes, just bog standard showers we don't want ,but some pyrotechnics yes I would like!
  15. From a purely selfish aspect ,this ten day chart from the ecm ,would be a good set up for convection. Warm Spring sunshine, along with a cold ,unstable atmosphere, would give us some lively thunderstorms,
  16. Absolutely rubbish, models are hinting at colder ,warmer scenarios, given the time of year ,the Atlantic goes quieter, historically ,as the PV becomes weaker between March and April and May. Not surprisingly we are seeing colder solutions on the table. Anyway , the Atlantic is cowarading down to the message from the East.....
  17. al78 overpopulation is the problem not the weather.
  18. sundog yes that’s right forgot to put the extra 0 in sundog obviously all other Atmospheric elements have a bearing on earth’s temperature not just C02 !
  19. Yes , looks like we have had a nine month train of Atlantic systems all strung togeather, Atlantic gales and rain , there alive alright
  20. piglet C02 , about 0.4% of our Atmosphere. Now 9 months on ,are you worried about how wet it is
