    Well the kind of heat island here has just been exemplified perfectly to me! I've just been to the garden centre just outside of stourbridge but in the countryside. Car was reading 27.5c when I left. 6 miles back home and it's showing 29c!! 31c today? And even my station at home is reading approx 29c before anyone goes on about car thermometers!

    Still 18c here so seemingly a good bit warmer than most here it seems!

    Well I expect temperatures East of Birmingham today in the W Midlands region to be about the same as Wednesday. However, West of Birmingham we could go 1 or 2c higher I think. If we reached 30c on Wednesday im going for at least 31c here today! However my only concern is possibly even more afternoon cloud than Wednesday.

    Unless there is snow, winter sucks. I can do so much more right now, it's easier to socialise, enjoy and do activities I might not be able to do in winter. In winter everyone is miserable, and everyone becomes too lazy because they are stuck indoors. Last winter just dragged on and on. Those who like winter over summer are more likely to be the unsociable ones IMO.

    30.4c is our max today. Degree higher tomorrow? Next week looks insane. I'm actually going to be on the welsh coast camping from Tuesday. Could be a prime spot for some Of the first storms should they happen. A few models hinting at more Azores ridging tonight though - UKMO, GEM, NAVGEM

    Oh it must reach 30c here today and tomorrow!!! But disappointed by the earlier breakdown some models are now showing but it's been good. Just hope the CFS never materialises as August will be wet and very cool otherwise! Thankfully a common trait in the models is to raise heights over Greenland but these seem to never materialise this year!
